  • I hope no one minds that I've started this thread!

    Today's plan:

    Breakfast: Protein shake (and late, 11 a.m.) so no morning snack
    Lunch: chicken salad on 2 cups lettuce
    Midafternoon: deviled eggs and sliced green pepper
    Dinner: Chicken and asparagus cooked in foil (Hobo Chicken, one cookbook has it)
  • First Day!!!!
    Bfast-brocolli egg bake
    snax- cheese stick...cuke slice
    lunch-greekish salad
    dinner-grilled burgerw/veggies and yogurt dip
    Unsweetened green tea
  • Ph 1/Day 8

    B: V8, omelet w/ asparagus & mozzarella, coffee w/ milk 1%
    S: string cheese, 1 oz almonds
    L: broccoli & chicken stir fry
    S: cucumbers & hummus
    D: eggplant lasagna
    D: sugar free fudge bar

    My plan for today is the same as for yesterday, except dinner:

    Breakfast: Protein shake (and late, 11 a.m.) so no morning snack
    Lunch: chicken salad on 2 cups lettuce
    Midafternoon: deviled eggs and sliced green pepper
    Dinner: meatloaf! (I never miss the breadcrumbs. I just add sauteed mushrooms and onions to the meat.) Probably with broccolini.

    L: turkey and cheese on wheat with mustard, cucumbers and bell peppers with ranch
    D: cottage cheese with s&p

    Missed dinner by napping, lol

    L: cheese and turkey rollups, cucumber/red peppers/carrots, tablespoon of hummus
    D: hamburger, smashed cauliflower and green beans

    I stayed op day 1....didnt do my walk but got in the pool with the kids and really ran and jumped , swam with them
    B; egg bake w/broccoli and ham
    snax; cuke and cottage cheese dip
    lunch: another greeky salad
    Dinner: chops on the grill with grilled zucchini
  • Ph 1/Day 9

    B: 1 cup greek yogurt 0%, 1 tbsp SF maple syrup, 2 tbsp flax seeds, coffee w/ milk 1%
    L: salad w/ vinaigrette, leftover chicken/broccoli stir fry
    S: celery & 2 tbsp almond butter
    D: boca burger, salad w/ vinaigrette, cottage cheese 2%
    D: sugar free fudge bar
  • Phase I rerun

    B: protein shake
    L: chicken breast on lettuce, iced tea
    S: PB in celery sticks
    D: more meatloaf! Tonight with green beans.
  • Xan, what is the protein shake that you have in the morning? Do you buy it pre-made or do you make it yourself? If so, what is the recipe? Thanks!
  • Some may disapprove of this but I drink an Atkins shake. I think it's 20 grams of protein, and 900 mgs of potassium. There's nothing quicker
  • I will have to check them out, school starts again soon and I know I won't have time to make an omelet every morning, so I am looking for fast ideas
  • They're in most grocery stores, at least in the DC area. I know they're not beachy (they're prepared foods, and they have chemicals in them) but it's better than cereal or a sausage mcmuffin Good luck.
  • xan - why not make your own shake?

    I only ask because it's kind of frowned upon to encourage frankenfoods.

    After a fattening bday week end, and an only ok monday... today was back on track.

    Skim milk
    SB Egg w/icbinb dab
    Few honey dew melon chunks

    Yogurt

    Hotdog salad

    Cheese string

    Chicken Caeser salad w/ parmasean & homemade dressing....... yum!

    eta: Since my birthday was last weekend, I allowed myself a few cheats (mainly a slice of cake... but the odd other thing). Because of this, I didn't bother with the weekly weigh in last week... hopefully, by the time this weeks weigh in takes place I will have undone any damage the old bday cake may have caused.
