New Here!!

  • Hi everyone!

    I'm 35 and a SAHM to a 3 y.o. boy and 2 y.o. girl. I've battled my weight for my entire life I was able to keep in check through my twenties (bounced around from 135-155) up until I had my children. Here I am 65 lbs heavier than where I started and have tried EVERYTHING to take it off, nothing is working this time. I've done Atkins, lost zero, I did South Beach, lost zero, Slim Fast, lost zero, Weight Watcher, gained .5 lb, and did HCG, lost 30, gained it ALL back plus 5. I walk and had even started running. Well we just moved across the state and I decided I need to try something totally new and different. I'm going to the lifestyle change. I just ordered the Super Foods book and it should be here on Saturday. I also signed up for a boot camp-like fitness class. It's 6 days a week for an hour for 8 weeks, then you can go as little or as much as you want. I went for the demo class today......WOW....I hope I'm able to do this. It starts on Monday. I'm so unhappy with the way I look and feel, it's affecting my quality of life. I've got to change for myself, kids and husband. I'm hoping to meet some friends here to journey with!!
  • Good for you! Exercise is one of my biggest hurdles, as I just feel so out of shape that even the thought makes me cringe--It just isn't enjoyable, but I know that one day, I will find that I am totally in love with it and won't be able to imagine my day without running a mile or more.
  • I feel the exact same way, MiMi!! I'm really nervous about Monday and being the most overweight and out of shape person lol!
