  • Good morning. A bit dull and rainy here this morning but the snow is definitely melting! The girls have been out and have not found a muddy spot yet in our snowy yard but it's coming!

I did some plaster patching yesterday. I sure am glad I didn't make that my profession! Can you say "Sand it smooth"? I need to do another coat but will leave it for today.

Big shopping day in Kingston today! DH is finally going to buy a new sports jacket. I think the dogs will get the old Harris tweed.
I'm not sure if my dog sitter is around so the girls may have to just hold it for a few hours. Actually they just sleep when we are away - no showtime play fighting.

Not much to say. I am so sad and worried about the war in Iraq and those poor people, both troops and the citizens. It must be absolutely terrifying to be there.

    Bye for now.
  • Girls I need all of your prayers today. The doctor called yesterday and wanted to see me right away. My mammagram last week showed four small lumps in my right breast. I was sent yesterday for bloodwork and am going today for more. I am trying to think positively but it is like being hit by a mack truck. I have been feeling pretty good with my blood sugar under control.
Not sure I will get back today but I would greatly appreciate lots of positive energy my way.
  • I'll be praying for you.
I'm trying not to be to concerned with the war, I know it is in God's hands.
    Have a good day!!

  • OMG, Tammy, my greatest fear. Prayers and good vibes your way today!

Ruth, I'm taking off for NC next weekend, could you find me a reliable dog sitter? These 2 are the stupidest dogs in SC, but they do deserve to be fed and played with for 2 days! My sister is the only candidate so far.

It's a crazy, soppy, muddy mess outside. We have had so much rain, for so many days, and I'm sick of walking through the lake to get to my car. Send some sunshine this way, please!

Get this, I have been cooking all the lovely low carb things for my family. Yesterday I forgot to thaw something for dinner, so I made a tuna casserole (shudder) that the whole family RAVED over. My mother made me promise to make it at least twice a week. Imagine!! I had some bacon instead.

Ya'll have a wonderful day! Talk to you tonight.
  • Just a quick pop in since I am off to the drop in center..

(((((((TAMMY))))))) Oh girlie, I am praying and thinking about you!

    Happy shopping Ruth!

Sherrie, I don't recall if I congratulated you on your rock, but WOW! Congrats! And about the stupid animal department? Some times I wonder about Rosie.....

    to plemar

have a good one, I'll try to check back in later
  • Oh, Tammy. Let's hope it is just a scare. Please be sure to get back in here and give up updates - even tiny ones.
Otherwise, I'll don my metal bra and chicken purse and fly to N.S.
I'll bring Spring when I do.
  • Morning Chickies!

Tammy, Tammy, Tammy--first off (((((())))))'s to you-I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers--believe me, I have been where you are (with my mom) and it is not a good place, keep your chin up and surround yourself with positive energy, not all lumps are cancerous, some are calcifications, or benign lumps--with my family history, I am just waiting to find a lump on me.

War is in the air--prayers to the troops and their families, and all Americans right now who are scared and confused.

Well, another downer--I need to go to the school today and bang some heads. ODD has a substitute teacher, while her teacher is out after having a baby, well, every since this lady has came into the picture it has been nothing but trouble, well some mom's called me last night and she called the class "IDIOTS" yesterday, told them to "SHUT-UP" and said they are "TRASHY" well that is just some of the problems this woman is causing, I have already talked to the principal once with no action--I'm moving on up the list today. It is amazing, my mother-in-law works in administration for the school, and she knows the Superintendent who is done in about 3 months, will not handle this situation. Soo--I WILL find someone who will, or I will be sitting in that class everyday. I have tried hard to raise my kids without name-calling--have taught them not to name call etc.-then this teacher comes in and GRRRR>..........I'm ready to blow!!!

On to better subjects--I am day 4 OP--whew whew!! I am proud!

Take care everyone--I'll check with you all later

  • Morning chicks, today is my day off so Lucy[my cat, not my lover] and I had a sleep-in.
DH had to go to work..Too bad . It is beautiful in N.S. today, the sun is shinning and it is, +5. So I know that things WILLbe good for all of us.

Tammy, we are praying that things will be all clear, and that the lumps will be fatty tissue. Lots of love to you. Please let us know when you can.

Linda BC-you said that you will have to keep moreLC snack on hand, What is a LC snack????

I went to TOPS last night and I gained 2 pounds. Really chicks, I mean this, I am starting today, I have started today, I am going to loose weight this week. I am.... So far today, and I have been up for 2 hr. I have stayed OP

Well all for now, love Tazcat
  • Morning chickies...... this is a tough day - I woke up at 6AM and have been glued to CNN..... it is a terrible time we are living in - we've had several friends (as I am sure some of you have also) called up for duty in "a sandy place" (they're not allowed to say, but we all know!) - prayers going out today and everyday for all of our troops. No matter how we feel about our government's stance, at the very least, we all must show our troops that we support them.

Extra special prayers and good thoughts and hugs go out to MamaJ and Tammy today........ Tammy, remember, dense spots on mammograms are quite common, they could be calcifications or just plain extra-dense tissue - I have done many many many sonograms on women whose mammos showed "questionable densities"....... I don't know your age, but women under age 40ish have denser breasts than do older women, and even older women still can have dense areas - there's always plenty of time for worry - so please, don't worry until the doc tells you that it is time to do so!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check in with us and let us know what is happening - we DO care!

Well, I guess I better get some work done -- income taxes still await! I'll catch up with you all later......
  • Special thoughts and prayers being sent to you, Tammy, from California. Prayers and healing vibes winging their way to that sweet Texas chick, Janice.

And of course, prayers being forcefully sent to our troops and the people of Iraq. God bless.

If i show up missing on this board for a while send me an email to check on me!!!
  • Feeling really tired and dragged out today--had no less than 4 cups of coffee!!!!!!!!!! I usually never do that but I have been so tired today, I didn't sleep well last night (in part due to my dh snoring his face off because he's sick!) I sense an early bed and some relaxation tapes.

I am sorry that people will die during all of this--a tragic waste of humanity as far as I am concerned. I do not watch the news since I value my own well-being most of all. To watch only aggravates my anxiety disorder and it would set me back in my quest for wellness. I think this is a time that knowing too much might be damaging to my health overall. I feel sorry for the families who see there loved ones go overseas to fight and I feel more sorry for the women and children who will ultimately suffer the most by trying to escape with their very lives as the bombs burst overhead. God take pity on them...

Rest well everyone for tomorrow is a new day.......
