Monday

  • Hello everyone! I was surprised that no thread was started yet today...wake up...it's already noon in Western Canada so some of you should have been up hours ago!!! ha

Sounds like extreme cabin fever for a lot of you. Waiting for spring to come! I think we all suffer from that now and again during the winter. We are meant to be outside enjoying the warm sun and fresh air...

Winter usually packs the pounds on me too. I love to walk outside but it's too dangerous on icy sidewalks. The last thing I'd need is a broken hip! My knees were swollen this weekend, but not to the same extent as usual, so I'm hoping the herbal stuff I am taking is helping. That would make me so happy!

Everyone keep up the healthy eating, and exercise whenever you can! Spring is on the way.
  • Good afternoon,

Not too much is new here. We got 1 foot of snow on top of the rain that froze into ice. Didn't make it to church yesterday. Everyone had a sleep in and relaxed before we went out to shovel the driveway and our neighbours as well. It was good exercise for hubby and me and the kids got some play time and fresh air as well.

Had pretty good eating this weekend. Didn't over do it. My scale said I was down this morning, but we will see tomorrow. I hate getting weighed at night but I have no choice. I can gain during the day from the morning. So unpredicatable.

I don't think I can stay for the meeting tomorrow night but I will go get weighed. Going to do my 30 min of rowing soon. May do some weights tonight since I can't tomorrow.

Have a good night everyone and talk to you tomorrow. Good eating and exercising!

  • Hi Ladies,

I have done fairly well the last few days. Trying to keep the carbs under control and when I do that, I feel so much better and the cravings subside. We shall see what happens Wed at mtg.

Eleni, sure you all had a good time at the party. The cake sure sounded good. My dh had a quiet birthday Sat and no cake around here. [thank goodness]. Did you get your TV? Hope you have a loss this week.

Sherri, sounds like you are back on track and things are on a more even keel. Keep enjoying your job. I'm so happy that you have that in your life. It gives you more self worth. YEAH! Keep doing good and holding your head high.

Wendy, you have done well with your weight loss. All those little ones add up, but you know the exercise helps alot. I really need to join you in that category.

Wanda, Our SRD is mid June. We just got our packets so this week our chapter will find out, but our registrations are due in only 3 weeks. Usually 4-5 out of our 16 member chapter goes. It's nice you have 14. How many members in your chapter? What is your theme [you may have said, but I forgot]. We don't have any ARD's in our state. People are too spread far apart.

Liz, I hear you about the walking outdoors. I did alot last winter but since I messed up my knee, any tourquing hurts it. Our snow last until May around here. Very short summers. I'm taking Chondrotin and Glucosamine and it seems to help a bit. Was taking Celebrex, but too expensive. Hope your knees are unswollen by now. Do you have to get them drained? I did. YUCK!

Linlin, good for you for eating fairly well. Every little bit of not putting something else in our mouths helps. Hope your weigh in goes well.

To everyone else, hope you're staying OP and getting healthier. Baby steps lead to giant leaps.........
