  • Today, I walked really fast on the treadmill for 10 minutes and then lightly jogged for 20 minutes. My goal is to lightly jog for 30 minutes. That will probably be one of the proudest moments of my life because I have NEVER jogged that long. For me, 20 minutes is a miracle.

    I also did a great job of stretching my muscles.

    Grudgingly burned 500 calories at the gym today.

    Today's exercise:

    25 minute walk to work
    25 minute walt to the gym
    30 minutes of swmimming laps ( +10 minutes of hot tub )
    15 minute walk home

    Took the stairs down at work twice (14 X2 = 28 flights of stairs -felt that burn ) wah! my legs are a little stiff now!

    Got DH to drop me at the Y this morning. I only burned 400 calories. But geez, what a walk back. Thank god I had my umbrella with me.
    You know, I've decided that at my age (reasonably young), it's far better to just let yourself fall than to catch yourself from slipping. I'm not likely to break anything at my age, but I've pulled something in my back from jerking myself upright.

  • I can't wait until the weather gets warm outside. Me and my husband got new bicycles and I CAN'T WAIT TO GO RIDING!!!!! Does anyone know how many calories riding a bike burns....about 30 minutes of riding??

    Able to add about 3-5 lbs. to all my high weights

  • Chris, everytime I see "Walked the plant" I think it says, "Walked the planet". heh heh.

    I haven't exercised since tuesday. Tonight DH and I went to the Y. I was beat. I figured I'd be able to burn 200 calories tops, but I did my full 500!! I'm so proud of myself!!

    And all you exercise babes are doing GREAT!!

    Heavy duty house cleaning for 2 hour 40 min-you gals should have saw mw scrub the bathrooms I was in the zone ;-)

    30 min upper body toning with light weights

  • Saturday: Lightly jogged for 35 minutes and then walked for 5 minutes.

    Sunday: Getting ready to get on the treadill in about 1/2 hour.

  • I walked yesterday for about 13 minutes. It was so chilly I was out in gloves, hat and scarf...but I went out there! I would have gone longer but the sun was setting. My heart was pounding and I was sweating when I got home!
