New Too :)

  • Hi everyone! I just found you guys and it looks like something I would like to be a part of. I'm 29 and a single mom to an almost 11yr old. I had her at 18 and went from 170 to 225 with the pregnancy. I've lost the weight twice, and once again, it is back This time I am trying to lose it with out paying an arm and a leg. In the past I went through medical weight loss clinics, but this time I'm going to do it by myself. Hopefully this time it stays off for good.

I've been limiting myself to 1200 calories a day and I've started working out with Tony Hawks Power 90. I have an athletic build, but I am extremely out of shape due to spinal surgery 2 years ago. So it's going to be a challenge for me to maintain motivation. I've also quit smoking 2 weeks ago. I'm confident I don't want to start again, but I'm positive my metabolism is suffering.

Enough about me though. I look forward to sharing this experience and getting to know all of you!
  • Welcome! Congrats on the stopping smoking. This is something I struggel with too.
  • Thank you It was difficult, but I really REALLY wanted it for myself and my daughter. After many unsuccessful attempts, I now know that I will always be a smoker for the rest of my life. I can never smoke another, or I will be right back at it. It is a serious addiction and I think only a smoker can really understand what a grip it has on you. Especially if you have tried to quit. Good luck with your efforts, you can do it too! If you ever need motivation or support, I'm your girl
