Small Bra

  • Does anyone else do this? I wear a cup size too small to make my breasts appear smaller. Sometimes I go down to an A cup. I wear a bra that straps them down more to make myself look thinner.
  • Well, no. I find that if my breasts look bigger, then the rest of me looks smaller in comparison.
  • I'm small to begin with. ( B Cup ) I'd think wearing a small bra would be uncomfortable though.
  • I can't afford to make mine look any smaller!
  • That is True I think it depends on the body shape because I have small hips. Someone with wider hips it would give a nice hour glass shape when your breats look bigger.
  • I'm an H cup so wearing a size smaller would be very uncomfortable and would just make me spill out all over the place lol I used to wear bras that were too small b/c I didn't know my real size, and it was uncomfortable and I was always spilling out and getting poked by underwire, if you are an A or B cup you can probably get away with wearing a smaller size and it won't matter too much but I can't now as an H nor could I years ago when I was squeezing into a DD. My mom can wear an A or B cup b/c she is in between sizes lol A is a little too small and B is a little too big
  • LOL

Just thinking...the other night at the gym, hubby said to me, when you wear those sports bras you look as though you have no boobs at all anymore.

We both got a laugh when I realized I didn't even have a sports bra on!!! Just a normal bra.
  • Yeah, I'm a full D cup....so if I try to go any smaller, I just pop out of my bras ALL day long. I get tired of having to tuck my boobies back into my cups

You can buy a decent minimizer bra if you really want to look smaller. They typically aren't that expensive and they can help reduce you a full cup size
  • That sounds painful I'm sure you'll feel better in a bra that fits.
  • You're better off with a Minimizer. They are designed to fit but to push your breast tissue flat rather than one which doesn't fit properly. One that doesn't fit usually just makes you look like you have 4 boobs cos there's a line across and it can cause soreness in time having that line cut across the breast tissue in the wrong size. I have a variety of bra shapes depending on outfits. I wear a standard bra with things that are closely fitted as you can properly see the shape. With shirts I stick with a minimizer otherwise nothing will button up unless it's a serious tent.
  • i am a d-dd and i cant imagine wearing a c cup... ouch!
  • LOL, Trixie, as a fellow H-er, I completely agree. I don't need any more lumps and bumps!
  • Uncomfortable when in a smaller bra
  • No, and I would never consider it as an option. When I was bigger, I used to wear a minimizer bra but I don't think a smaller cup would do me any good. First of all, I am sure there would be some "overflow" effect (which I personally consider very unsightly) and second, no matter how much I shower and what not, my skin has a tendency to develop a rash between my boobs (where the skin contains lots of sweat glands). So I am always looking for bras that keep my girls nicely separated (if possible) and I am trying to avoid squishing them together at any cost.
And I have very narrow hips and I am naturally not an hour-glass person (i am the tall, straight body type).
  • As milmin2043 hinted at, sports bras often flatten without changing bra size, if that is what you want. My husband often calls the result the uniboob. If I wear the wrong size bra, I just spill out in places I'd rather not.
