Don't have a mini goal PROGRESS PICS!

  • Before pic is me at about 209. The current pic was taken a couple of days ago at 181 (sorry for my daughter's dirty mirror..lol) I've lost all the weight exercising approx 5 days/week (on average), running, eliptical, recumbent bike, weight machines and doing pull ups (or trying to) that hangs below my bathroom door..lol! I've had an easy time as far as food goes...been on Bistro MD for the past 12 weeks

Anyways...the difference is only after 12 weeks! I'm quitting Bistro MD and transitioning to calorie counting within the next couple of weeks...so the next 30 lbs should be FUN..haha!

  • You look really good! I didn't see your before, but you look really great right now to the point where it looks like you've already hit goal! I don't carry my weight that well. Congrats!!!

  • I agree, you carry your
    weight very well and you
    look great!
  • totally agree! you look great! maybe you don't really need to lose 30. you might have more muscle, so bmi isn't so accurate for athletes.
  • Like others have said, you look great! You really do carry your weight well...I did not look like that at 209 (or 181 for that matter). Great job
  • Great job! You look great
  • Thank you all for your support!!! Ya...being "tall" is more forgiving..haha...I don't think most overweight people realize just how much muscle we got under that fat. I mean...it takes alot of work to carry around 209 lbs!!! I'm just trying to keep that muscle and lose the fat around it! haha!

It was hard for me to post these pics Especially the "before" pic...I really don't have but a couple of before pics and believe it or not that one was the most flattering..lol! I'm only 43 yrs old and at my highest weight, I started to develop HEALTH problems (gastritis, high blood pressure, dangerously high cholesterol, shortness of breath, chest pains, etc.)

So, I decided to make a "life" change which would include a healthier more balanced diet and include exercise into my daily regimen. I remembered how much I used to love running (track team) in jr. high and high school, so I started running/walking the dog. Before long I was running miles at my local park and home! Who knew at this age, I could rediscover a "love" for running? Who knew I could even run? haha

Anyways..thanks again. I can already tell that this last 30 lbs is going to be an epic battle!!! But I'm soooooooooooooo up for this challenge cuz I'm NOT stopping until I fit back into my size 6 clothing!!!
  • You look great!
  • CONGRATS! Keep up the good work.
  • Wow - you look amazing. Even for being tall, you do carry your weight well- I'm 3" taller and I guarantee you look more slender than I do - even at 209. Can I ask what Bistro MD is?
  • Thank you all so very much!

GreenTea - BistroMD is a gourmet frozen food delivery program (like Jenny Craig, only alot better IMHO!) I've been on it for 12 weeks so far (2 more weeks to go before I quit), and the food is absolutely fresh, non-processed, and delishous! It's made my journey really easy and has taught me several very important lessons about nutrition:

    1. WATCH your salt...try to keep it at or under 2,000 mgs/day...

    2. You can basically eat ANYTHING you want (not diet food) as long as you watch your portion sizes. Control portion size and everything else is sure to follow (fat, calories, carbs, etc.)

    3. EXERCISE - Get moving...living is moving. Keeps you young and keeps your skin nice too!

    4. Carbs are not the enemy!!! That is fibrous carbs like brown rice, cous cous, yucca fries (oh how I love this root plant from brazil), rissoto, corn, peas, beans, lentils....
