my first cheat day in 8 months

  • My birthday is this coming saturday, and today was the day my husband took me out to lunch to celebrate. He works on Saturdays. Since I started losing weight, I have not on any single day eaten more than 1600 calories, and my usual goal is 1100-1300, so I have been very strict with myself, but it is rare that I have wanted to binge, and I on the few occasions I had the urge, I resisted it. But this lunch is something I had penciled in my calendar, and I just flat wanted to do it. There is a tex mex bar type place a few miles from my house, and they make a plate of chicken nachos that is to die for. I am sure I have been relatively vocal in the past about my love for nachos. So, I ordered the nachos, and dug in! It was fantastic! This is supposed to be an appetizer of course, but it is a huge heap of nachos, and I attempted to put all the ingredients into my handy dandy recipe calculator, and came up with approx 2200 calories for the whole thing. I was not able to finish the whole thing, but I did manage to clear a good 3/4 of it. When we left, I was pretty full, but not the kinda full that made me want to do nothing but sleep all day. Within an hour, the bloaty feeling had gone away, and I felt my normal self. Cant say how the insides may feel come this time tomorrow though. LOL

Anyway..It was great..I enjoyed it..and now, back to plan.
  • Thats great i must say u have great WILLPOWER
  • That is amazing that you have such great willpower.

    Happy early birthday
  • One day in 8 months?!?! That's fantastic! I say, take your free day and don't sweat it.
  • i agree, amazing will power! happy birthday glad you were able to enjoy yourself for lunch - well deserved!
  • Good for you for getting back on that saddle right away!
  • Wow, that's crazy. You definitely do have great self-control. I've been working on losing more weight since the 22nd... yesterday, the 27th, I had a brownie. The brownie only brought me up to 1500 calories for the day, but it was only five days later, and I was already eating that junk! Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Congratulations on your loss so far, and on getting back on track after a "cheat" meal!
  • Happy Birthday! And I'm glad you enjoyed your nachos guilt free
