Pooky I'm with you this morning, lots to do and not enough time to do it in.

I have relatives coming from Northern Virginia for the weekend. Needless to say my house needs to be cleaned, I must get to the store for groceries, so on and so on.

Speaking of Northern VA, I'm sure we have all heard that an arrest has been made in the sniper case. Thank Goodness, I hope they have the right people and this all ends for those in the DC area.

Gotta run, the back steps are calling my name to be vacuumed. The kids are the only people that use these steps, they deposit clothes, socks, books you name it all up and down the steps. What a mess!!!

Woke up to no electricity this morning - you'd think I lived in California. It was off for over and hour so no eggs and bacon this morning - bran buds and milk by candlelight! Luckily the hot water in the tap was really hot so I had a cup of instant. I guess it's time to stock my "just in case" box with batteries, butane, candles, etc., as this may be an ongoing problem this winter. I sat and looked at my To Do list which had tons of stuff requiring electricity and thought of a day reading beside the wood stove. Then the damned power came back on!

Good news about the arrests in the Sniper Case. Let's hope they got the right perople. I note one of the perps has a Muslim name (and an American one) and wonder if this is a sign of Al Quaeda (sp) connection.

Pooky, all that rushing around and then poety first thing in the a.m.! And Debkay, it sounds like you are on Pooky track too - re CLEANING, I mean!

Read Jennifer's post on those Hungry Man dinners! I cannot believe the calories, carbs and fats in those things. If anyone needs to GAIN weight, eat those for a week!

I'd better get cracking on The List. I need to get my house stuff done this morning because I intend to go to the Office for the afternoon to work on the end of year statement for the Fair Annual meeting - and after that - I'l be free! This afternoon is a good time as the "lad" will be coming to clean our furnace and I'll get out of the "turn it up" "turn it down" stuff.

Sorry that I've been MIA all week. I've had a very difficult time with constant migraines and have been unable to sit at computer for more than a few minutes. I have been trying to stay caught up with everybody as best as I can.
Like the other ladies this morning, I have tons to do: exercise, doc appt,errands, etc.

I do want to say: I have everything crossed for you Pooky!!

Here's another chickie chiming in with a HUGE to do list today! Fortunately for me, my 9:00 appointment was changed to 11:00 - and that gave me just enough time to come on over and check in with you all today! I have a day off today from my "regular" job, but it's payroll tax time for my few remaining corporate accounting clients, so I'll e busy with that.
I just can't tell you how much I love my new job! Yesterday was the first time I had to work a whole 4 hour shift...... the great thing about my boss is that if the shift lasts 2 hours or 3 hours or 4 hours - the pay is the same! In fact, last week, one of my shifts was cancelled, but I had gone to the office for 1 hour of 'hands on" training - and he still paid me for a whole shift! Yaaaaaaayyyyy ....... Jiff - I hope you (VERY SOON) find a job you like even half as much as I like my new one!

Ruth...... reading by candlelight is soo hard on the eyes..... I much prefer to snuggle and nap! OR, snuggle with the girls and get some extra cuddle time!

Yesterday was OP 100%. I am determined to do it again today.
I was planning on going rug and Gazelle shopping this morning, but I finally got 7 hours sleep last night (versus the regular 4) and now my body is spoiled and wants MORE. I might take a nap instead. Have to be at work in 2 hours or so anyway. I'm nodding off at the screen!

Fingers crossed that they got the sniper.....have a nice day!!

Well, I thought I would start posting here daily instead of in fitday. There isnt anyone to talk to there!

Aside from my itching, Im good and staying OP! Everyone has busy days ahead of them.....I hope you all have a good one!! Sun is shining here, and it looks like one of those great "walking" days. You can smell the leaves and the crisp air!

Well, Im not planning on cleaning today...Im off to work in a few and we are getting ready for our big grand opening on friday. The mayor is going to be there!! Wish I could say his name properly.
I'll be making signs, rearranging stock, and generally fussing like an old mother hen.

Do you know how hard it is to make butter tarts for an event when your OP and not be able to test them?????????!!!!!!!!!

I have a 4 hour road trip ahead of me today after school....and have absolutely nothing ready!!!!

DD10 has a choir workshop and performance. We will be staying with friends...just me and the girls....hubby and dog will stay home to hold down the fort!

Wow, such busy little chicks! I don't have plans to clean up much of anything today. I need to walk the dog over to the groomers at noon, then pick up a friend and bring her back home for coffee. Chase the babe around aaahhhh I forgot, I will be cleaning up after him, lol, looks like a cyclone has hit by the time he is ready for bed. Snooper really needs to be groomed his nails are tooo long and he won't sit nice for me to do them, no more short clips for him as the weather is getting cooler now. Still on plan here!! I hope to be down to my goal around xmas, hmmm that may be pushing it a bit. One day at a time!

Hi Robin and welcome!!! Please, check in here daily but don't stop making entries on Fitday. I've used Fitday off and on for the past 2 years. When doing a search of my past entries, i found that I always do better (lose weight) when I'm posting daily. And I always gain it back when I don't post there.

I admit that I haven't been consistant lately, but am trying very hard to make daily entries. I have just made my Fitday public. If I know that others will be checking me out, I will do it daily. I'll stop over there and get the address for anybody who want to check in on me.

The electricity was off when we got up this morning. OK - we can handle cold cereal for breakfast and instant coffee made with hot tap water. The power came on by 9.

Next, a callow youth from Bell shows up at the door and tells us we need our line upgraded. He disconnects the phone and then goes for coffee! Phone is finally back before lunch.

Furnace guy comes to clean at 1 and discovers that the inside of our furnace has collapsed into the heat thingie or something. The new furnace guy comes at 2 and tells us we also need a new oil tank as well as a furnace - over $3K! (All this stuff is 35 years old so......) Can't use the furnace until replaced which should be late tomorrow or first thing Tuesday. I guess there are no Mondays in furnace installation land. Damned cold in the house except in the kitchen and back room where the woodstove is roaring.

So, in a slight snit, I go to the Office to work on Accounting and keep warm. The System crashed! Luckily I did a backup on Monday - hope to **** it works. The good news is I would need to re-create October only as I closed the year Sept 30.

So, I am going to have a long hot tub and wash and dry my hair.
If we lived in Ottawa, I'd be at a Chinese buffet by 5!

So how's that for a pissy day? At least I didn't have my wrist operation done yesterday!

There ..... I feel better now!

My Dad got to come home tonight. Le's hope he makes it longer than a day out of the hospital this time.
