  • Yesterday was my school's first football game of the season (Auburn University). It's a biiiiiiiiig deal here! Football isn't really my thing, and I was having a nice quiet night in my apartment. Pretty antisocial and lame of me, I know, I just didn't feel like wading through the sea of humanity shouting "war eagle!" every 30 seconds. Well anyways, it was about 10pm and I wanted popcorn. I did not have popcorn, lol. So I made a quick Walmart trip to get some.

I'm standing in the popcorn aisle contemplating if I want microwave bags or kernels to air pop when this highly intoxicated girl comes marching around the corner not paying attention. She bulldozed into me, knocking the box of popcorn out of my hands. I was thinking no harm done, no biggie. She does kind of a drunk stagger to regain her balance and says "What the f***, skinny b***h, do you WANT to get in my way!? I could break you in half, skinny b***h." Some guy who she was with started shoving her along and picked up my box of popcorn and apologized for her and said she's not usually like this. He hands me the popcorn, and helps her stagger away. Just to get one last word in, she turns back and says "go eat a burger, skinny b***h!"

The whole time I'm standing there holding my popcorn thinking "awwww, did she really think I was skinny? "

I will miss living in a college town...hahaha

  • haaha! i love it!
  • That's a great story! I wouldn't have been able to not smile/laugh in her face!
  • Loved it!
  • thats the best thing :]
  • HAHAHAHA!
  • That story is hilarious! Like the NSV to end them all. Can't lie, I'd kill to be called a skinny ***** around school, especially now that the undergrads are back on campus making me feel like a cow!
Your story also made me realize how common it is for young people insulting another person to ridicule the other person's weight. Sad, and telling of the importance of weight in our society.
  • so funny! I would have thought that same thing though!! lol.
  • Haha...that's awesome!!!
  • Ironically, about a year ago (on my birthday, no less) a drunk woman in a parking lot called me a "fat b****" and accused me of flirting with her boyfriend, who I had barely even looked at. It was a weird, back-in-middle-school moment for me.

I do think it's interesting that weight plays any part in these insults at all. Isn't it bad enough to be called a b****, now I have to worry about being skinny OR fat?
  • OMG I laughed out loud! If I had been you, I might have hugged her crazily while yelling "thank you! thank you!" Maybe I need to move closer to the college or university in my town... when I get closer to goal, that is.
  • LOL thats great! xD
  • sorry she was rude...but at least it was some what of a compliment
  • That's a great story, and I love your attitude about it. You saw the positive in it, for sure! Gonna change your screen name now? Hahaha.
  • Cracks me up. I hope someday someone insults me like that!
