I am finishing my 2nd week on IP--- I love it and I have lost 11 lbs so far!! BUT- yesterday and today I have had NO energy!!! I'm doing everything the same as when I started!! Any suggestions????
Try adding a little more salt or increasing your water. Sometimes just that little adjustment makes a big difference. Also, it is in the second week that the brain learns how to use the ketones as energy instead of the old glucose pattern. It will take about a week for some people and then you are fine again.
Thanks!!! I am so excited about the weight loss in the past 2 weeks, but I have a very busy life and NEED energy!!! I probably didn't drink enough water in the past couple of days! I also drink coffee a lot- just black, but I have read that I need to drink water to match each cup in addition!! I didn't do very well with that either!! It really helps me to read all of the great suggestions!! Thanks so much!!!
You really do need to watch coffee when on this plan. NOT because it messes with the ketosis. It is a diuretic and on this plan we are inclined to become easily dehydrated. In fact, by the time you realize or think you might be dehydrated you usually, already are!
If you must have your coffee increase your water intake by 1:1 for every cup after the first 8 oz.
I actually enjoy the cappucino protein mix so I use it in the morning occasionally with 8 oz of coffee stirred in. I also add the vanilla ready made drink to coffee for a yummy latte snack or lunch.
