I have struggled with my weight my entire life. This past January it got to the highest/lowest point in my life! I hit 360 on the scales. I decided it was either get healthy or get dead. I chose life! I quit smoking Jan 4th. I went to a seminar for bariatric surgery. I am still tentatively planning on having it next year (have to change insurances), but am also working on losing the weight naturally too.
I've done Weight Watchers numerous times with little success. I am a sugar/carb addict. March 11th I started the Transitions Lifestyle program. It is basically a low glycemic index plan. I did a 7 day detox and lost 13#. I lost another 7 the 2nd week. I am adding more protein and dairy back in and trying really hard to stay away from grains/carbs. I also gave up soda 2 weeks ago as well. I am feeling much healthier!
I live in middle WI in a small town. I work fulltime and also am in school fulltime for my Bachelors degree. I'm a single parent of a wonderful 7 year old boy and 3 kitties. I'm single but am hoping to find someone someday.
I am looking forward to knowing people on this message board. I love all the support here! Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself.
Happy Friday,
Terese
