Ongoing WW Weight Loss

  • I've lost 5 lbs. my first week on WW. I think a lot of it was water weight and a shock to my system though, TBH.

I know the average (and recommended) weekly weight loss is 1.5 lbs. a week for people on WW, but I'm wondering if I can expect it to come off a little quicker since I have so much to lose?

For long term WW's, do you see a pattern in your loss?
  • I'm only on my 6th week right now, but I basically lost a large number the first week and then had smaller losses.

I think it all depends on what you are doing exactly to lose the weight.
  • I joined weight watchers about a month ago, and I lost almost 8 lbs the first week, but Ive lost about 2 pounds each week since. You might lose more than 2 pounds for the next week or two, but eventually your body will adjust and you'll lose at a healthier rate.

    Hope that helps!
  • I just weighed in again tonight and lost 5.4 more pounds, so I decided to talk to my group leader since I've lost more weight faster than most do. Basically what she said is it varies from person to person, and in my case, I dramatically changed my eating habits, which could be why Im dropping fast. She also added that I will probably level out eventually. So, as I said before, for the next few weeks, you might lose at a fast rate, but dont get discouraged if you begin to lose less eventually.

    Good luck!
  • Yay! Congrats on the good loss rox!

I've always lost big the first week and pretty high after (done WW 3 times ha). This time I'm following it religiously, biting and writing EVERYTHING, eating all points+flex every week (no activity points though), and exercising daily. And the weight is falling off.

Soooo. There's that. But yeah, if you follow the plan religiously, you'll probably lose a little faster for a while. But don't expect it or go for it. Eat ALL your points, depriving yourself is baaad and leads to failure in my experience. Keep it up girlie =]
