  • Someone brought a cake to work for my birthday but I told a fabricated story about why I wasn't having any. (I don't let people know about my weight loss endeavors because I don't need the Diet Police after me.) Everyone totally bought it, felt bad for me, went on enjoying their cake and I stayed on plan!! I'd say we are all winners.
  • Rock on
  • Nice work! Dying to know what your excuse was...
  • I said I was going through extensive allergy testing and I can't have any wheat at all.
  • One of my less attractive qualities is my ability to lie convincigly on a moment's notice.
  • That's an awesome excuse. I'll have to remember that one!
  • I have a hard time lying. I would just say that I am watching what I'm eating. Or that I am watching my sugar intake.
  • I am really, really private about my eating habits. On the rare occassions when I have said oh I'm limiting this or that people have always said ohhhhh but its just this one time just have a little nibble go on it won't hurt you. Problem is I don't want a nibble I want a big ol' honking piece. And while a nibble may not hurt me, cake is not exactly chock full of vitamins either so it doesn't help anyone either. Anyway, I digress. This time not one person tried to push any on me which I totally appreciate.
  • Good job! I agree with you, there are people out there all over the place who are diet police or who try to push food on you. It's annoying!

  • And the allergy testing showed you are allergic to cake !
  • It makes my hips swell!!
  • Quote: One of my less attractive qualities is my ability to lie convincigly on a moment's notice.
lol...I glanced at your profile and can see why...good attribute!

I'm self conscious about telling people I'm "dieting". I have only been at it a week, so I haven't really been in situations where I have to twist the truth around a bit. Although, last Sunday I was at my nephew's birthday party and while everyone ate cake, hotdogs, chips, chocolate coverered marshmellows, etc, I managed to munch on wieners, cauliflower and broccolli. Nobody asked or took notice, so I was safe...lol.
  • good call honeybjones! I really hate to tell people I'm dieting too but sometimes I have to. What is gonna be funny is when they ask you your results of allergy testing. One lie leads to another
  • Oh no worries. I'll just say it all came back fine after all but I felt so good living that way that I will just keep right on doing it.
  • you are good girl! or should i say bad? hehe
