Hello! Only have a small amount to lose, any advice?

  • Hello,

Just joined the forum as it looks like a great place.

I only have a small amount of weight that I'd like to lose. About 10lb, I'd like to catch it now and set things right so it doesnt keep creeping on!

Does anyone know the best way to lose when its only a little bit?
Is there any particular diet that is tailored for this?

    Thanks!

  • Hit the Featherweights forum. There are many paths. Regardless of the amount you have to lose it's all about creating the deficit between calories in and calories out. Like all of us, you will need to decrease calories and increase activity. Many of us also find LOW GI foods to be helpful.
  • Eat less, move more . Having "only" ten pounds to lose is just as important to you as to the person who has to lose 100 pounds. You are wise to do it now before you find yourself with a lot more to lose. I agree about the featherweights forum.
    Good luck !
  • Thanks Thighs be Gone and Bargoo. I had not yet found the featherweight section, but it looks like just the right place! Now the hard work starts.

  • Welcome! I'm in similar shoes to you. I'm actually currently at a healthy weight, but I have a little to lose before I'll be totally at piece with my body...10-15lbs. Just maybe log your calories, work out and try to eat healthier. It will come off!
