Hi All,

I thought I would start a new thread since our last one was so long It's hot here too. I mowed Friday morning and ended up with a killer headache all day long. I'm staying inside too for the rest of the day.

I worked in the garage today getting things packed up that were left over. It was so hot so I kept coming in to take breaks. Then I'd go out again. I was to the point of feeling sick, so I've been inside since then.

Dee, I would go to a motel and crank the AC if ours went out. Our power went off this afternoon for about 35 minutes. That was what I was planning to do. I dread going back to school the end of August if it's hot.

Did you figure out what was causing all of your problems? We had a water heater break down on us where we used to live. It ended up being a blessing in disguise. The new one that we bought was much more energy efficient.

I'm meeting the gals to walk in the morning before it gets too hot. Hope I can get at least a mile in before the knee starts to hurt. If not, that's Ok. I'll work myself up to it. The strengthening exercises should start helping the knee soon. After a week, I'm supposed to add a 1 pound weight, the week after that a 2 pound weight, and so on up to 10 pounds.

For anyone just now reading this thread, please come and join us. We have all followed the Weight Watchers program at one time. (Some are on their own for now.) We are great listeners and advisors.

Tammy, here it stays hot until the end of Sept. So, going back to school in August, is no fun. Be careful walking with your knee acting up.

I'm getting back on the wagon tomorrow. I feel soooooo stuffed tonight. Today, I bought everything to make the 0 pt. veggie soup. I'll have it for lunch and supper.

Hi gang! I weighed this morning to say the damage that I did over the weekend. Same weight. Big shock, right? At least I hadn't gained a zillion like I thought. lol

I haven't journaled the past week. I'm using the garage sale as an excuse for not journaling. Now that it's over and all cleaned up, what excuse can I use now?

After I walk this morning, I'll come home and get cleaned up, then head for Goodwill. I have 2 boxes and 3 grocery bags of leftover garage sale things to take there. I also bagged up some books and toys to take in to my classroom. That is all that's left! My hubby was shocked. Me too actually. It was a great sale. People got some really nice things that I no longer needed, and we made a little money in the process.

The last day we were taking 1/2 price for everything. One couple that came in do homeschooling for their children. They bought ALOT! I had a set of Childcraft books (15 books on all different topics) that I gave them. The hubby was pulling out more money, and I told him to put it away. I knew I'd end of taking them to Goodwill. This way I knew someone would be using them. I have 2 other sets of them at school.

Need to go get my walking shoes on and head out. Stay cool everyone!!

Ok, I'm back on the band wagon too!!! I went to weigh in this morning but skipped the actual weighing part. I ate too much this weekend!!! So here it goes again!!!! Here's to a better us!!!!

Tammy, congrats on getting rid of everything and staying the same weight! That's better than gaining!! Doesn't it feel good when you get rid of stuff you don't need anymore!!

Tina, I'm right there with you on starting fresh today!! We can do this You are very welcome for starting the new thread. Our old one was getting long... good for us!!

Dee, did you get the AC fixed? Hope you did asap!!!!!

Pat went for his first physical therapy session today. He will go on Wed and Frid. Tomorrow he is going to work for part of the day. Of course, I'll drive him and pick him up. After 4 weeks of therapy, he can start driving. Good thing since school starts the middle of August.

Well the weekend is over.. Yea! My AC is working (it was a breaker problem) and I did think about going to a hotel.. only problem with that was it was already 12:30AM when I got home, and town is 40 mins from me.. my water is up and running again too... I knew things had to get better Now if I could just go to sleep, wake up and be Thin Thin Thin..LOL. Ok so I'm in dream land here.

Tammy, sounds like you are doing great with your walking, keep it up! Hope your knee starts to improve. Walking with sore body parts is no fun at all.

I think school starts earlier every year... when I went to school it was towards the end of Aug, now its the middle of Aug...soon it will probably be letting out in June, and starting up in July ! I hope not...only cause I dont like getting up so early to get the kid ready! I bet all you teachers are getting excited for the new year to start though!

Susan it's good to hear that Pat is going to be able to return to work for even part of his days. He's probably ready for a change. Glad to hear his PT is under way.

Tina how was your veggie soup? Hang in there... the good thing about falling off OP is tomorrow is a brand new day, and you get to climb back on board...and yesterday is wiped away!

Did anyone try getting online here yesterday? I never could get on. Hmmm.....

I'm waiting for time to go to my yearly gyn visit. Thrill..... It's one of those things I'd rather not do. That's silly cause I have a great doctor. It's all in my mind.

I had trouble getting on here yesterday also. Glad it wasn't just me!

Tina, I just went for my yearly exam yesterday. I almost look forward to it because I like the doctor so much. I've been going to him for at least 17 years. He worked with us through all of the infertility issues way back then. He's my age and a great guy.

Dee, I don't think I'm excited yet about going back to school. lol I'm enjoying the summer too much.

I didn't do much walking at all today. Didn't even get up and meet the walking buddies. My knee and ankle were both hurting so bad. I'm doing the knee exercises so hopefully they will help to strenghten the knee SOON!!! I did those exercises, walked a little, and lifted weights today. Food and water were good.

Tomorrow I'm spending the day fitting band uniforms for the HS band. I did that Tuesday too. My friend is in charge of it. Her son is a Senior, so I am being trained to take over since Tim is a freshman. Oh my!!!!

I'm going to be in Indianapolis Friday and Saturday with some friends that I met a few years on Diettalk! We've been communicating for 3 1/2 years. There are about 14 in the group, and 4 of us will be in Indy this weekend. One other woman just found out she couldn't make it.

Maybe someday all of us can meet!

On Sunday I leave for band camp. I'll be there until Wednesday, then another group of chaperones will relieve us! Hope the kids behave.

As far as here, I've been on the couch since 11:30- 12:00 with a sinus infection. Finally realized it about 4:30.. called and now I have something for it. I'm still on the couch but feel a little better. Therefore, food was great, because I didn't want anything.

I weighed in this morning and was down 1/2 pound, now only 1 1/2 to get back to where I was! I'll get there!

Susan, hope you are feeling better soon. Sinus infections can be so painful. Hate to have them.

I'm down a pound!!! Hooray! That's a grand total of 7 since we got out of school. Wanted to lose 15 over the summer, but at this rate I'll be satisfied losing 10.

Susan, you'll get back to where you were by next week. Keep it up!!

Tammy & Susan, congratulations on your losses. That's very good. I hope for a good loss next week .

My visit to the gyn was good. He was so happy to see me since he wasn't there last year. He came in and hugged me and talked and talked. I am fine. He didn't find anything wrong. (I still have to have my mammogram for the year.)
He suggested that to lose some weight, I don't eat sugar or starch for 6 wks. That's not the WW plan, but, I think I'll try it for a week and see what happens. Of course, I am to exercise a lot.

I'm not going to be exercising for a few days. Yesterday, I tripped and fell off our front steps. I made myself fall to the left. So, I skinned my left knee (which is sore today) and bumped my left cheek.
Today, I'm purple under my eye.
About all I've done today is go buy groceries. I'm taking it easy.

Susan, I hope your sinus infection is responding to the medicine. How is Pat.

Tammy, it sounds like you'll have fun seeing all your friends.
It would be fun if we could all get together some day.

Tina sorry to hear that you fell down yesterday... are you doing ok now? You must have bumbed your cheek hard to cause it to bruise, I'm glad nothing was broken... hope your feeling 100% in a couple days.

Not much is happening here. Tomorrow is the last day of camp for my daughter... she's had a great time. Made a few friends, and really enjoyed the various staff that worked with her age group!

It's another hot day in the neighborhood! My poor dog is wiped out from the heat. Poor little thing.

I weighed in today and stayed the same. I'm not complaining since I had chips and 2 slices of pizza yesterday. I'll be down by Monday.

Tina, Soak in water epsom salt bath. It will take the soreness and reduce the bruising. It really works. Take several baths. I'm sorry you fell!!! Take it easy!

Tammy, I think your doctor is crazy!! I can't believe no sugar or starch. I think I would shrivel up and die

Dee, glad your daughter enjoyed camp. I never went to camp as a kid... always wanted to go.

I'm joing Curves for Women. It's an exercise club where you can work out in 30minutes. 3 times a week for 30 minutes, they quarantee you'll a difference. A girlfriend and I are going to do it. Then we are going to pick 3 days a week and go after school. We want to start next week so we are in a routine before school starts. I think we are even going to go at the same time too.

Nothing exciting here. I'm going to mow in the morning! I like to mow.. I want to do it before it gets hot.
