I'm ready for the weekend. We are expected to have rain. Booo. We are still working on the front of the house. I had hoped to do the scraping and put on the undercoat of paint. Guess that'll have to wait.
We're going to the movie tomorrow night, Showtime . It sounds funny.

Well, what is everyone doing this Saturday?

I spent 2 hrs. doing yardwork. And, I've only spent 5 pts. today. Now I can enjoy a big supper. Or, maybe I'll just bank the pts.

I spent the morning sleeping in and then went to work this afternoon... now it's like 1am and I should be asleep, but I'm not. Tomorrow I might go to a movie..or wait and do that on Mon. My child is on spring break... and keeps asking to go to a movie... that pop corn is gonna do me in .

I made a deal with one of the girls at work today, told her I would eat salads all next week...with her... as she is on a diet and only eats salads for lunch. That should help me with my Easter Challange! I have 7 pounds to go to hit the 10# I wanted to loose by Easter, and 2 weeks to do it in (Easter was suppose to be in April!!!). If I get close I will be a happy happy happy rabbit.....

How many pts did you end up saving Tina...I hope you ate more then 5 pts all day. Course if you ate veggie soup for lunch and dinner, you'd be full and spent 0 pts. Hmmm that's a thought! With all that yard work you did, you probably worked off more pts then you ate...way to go. How was your movie?

How is everyone else doing? It's quite around here, maybe everyone got to go on spring break. Where ever you are, have fun!

About my Saturday pts. -- my husband surprised me with supper at Outback Steakhouse after the movie. I had salad and the grilled shrimp with veggies and rice. I ate half of the rice and everything else. So, I ate more than 5 pts. total.
That movie, Showtime , was good. I recommend it.

Today I'm home without a car. That car knows its warranty is about to expire and it's coming up with all sorts of weird noises. Of course, I'd rather it do it now than wait till we have to pay for it.

I've got to drink my water. I woke up with major water retention.

Well here I is!!!

Spring Break was hectic, but fun! Had company from Saturday until Saturday. My sister and her 1 yr. old and 5 yr. old. Let's just say.... I was hopping! Sorry I didn't post, just never got to my computer.

Saturday was my 17th anniversary. Went to hear Pat's band play and had several drinks. Then Sunday, I ate things I knew I shouldn't. So now, I'm ready to drop some of this weight.

It has been raining for 2 days. Wow! When it rains it pours!!

I ended up going to the movies on Sunday with my child...2 nieces, and 1 sister... we watched Ice Age, that was cute and funny. One of my nieces had seen it the night before, but wanted to go again.

Today I tried to enroll my child in summer camp, that's worse then going to the dentist lots of paper work, have to have a physical..which she's had..but have to have the camps forms filled out by the doctor...so now I have to run to the doctors office, and wait on them to get the forms filled out!! Good thing I have a few weeks til summertime!!

So how was everyone's weekend? Like Tina mentioned, where is everyone? Must be on Spring Break. Well I'm off to bed, gotta work in the morning.

I worked in the yard half the day. I finished planting my vegetable garden and planted flowers in two of my front flower beds. They still need more. I ran out of time and money. My husband finished repairing the front of the house and now we can scap and paint. Yepeee I don't mind and it's a good way of losing weight.

I finally talked to my dr. and he said that I'm in perfect (well almost perfect) health. He upped my thyroid meds some. Hopefully that'll jump start my metabolism.

Okay, I've talked -- now it's y'all's turn.

Ok I'll talk too... I almost posted early this afternoon, but then had to run to town and get meds for my daughter as we were out!! and that isnt a good thing. Can't say as that was too exciting...but it was something.

Glad to hear that your Doc says your in good health Tina!!
Sounds like you had fun Tina working in your various gardens. What kinds of veggies did you plant? If I planted a veggie garden the only thing I'd have in it is carrots! I just look at my yard every day, and think... yuck I need to hire someone to come fix it for me I don't do the out door thing... unless it's swimming or biking.

Well what else.. hmmm trying to get my daughter signed up for summer camp. Gee that's expensive... and it's only a day camp they don't even spend nights. Wouldn't want to know how much a camp is for the whole summer...like you see on tv shows.

Tina, glad about the news from the dr. Even better he upped your meds.
By the way, I jealous.... I haven't started in any garden as of yet. I better get out there and do something.

Dee, summer camp sounds fun. I never went to anything when I was a kid. What kind of camp will she be going to?

My Saturday was a blast. I went to a school workshop it was suppose to last until 5 but we got out at 12:30 worked through lunch and breaks. Then I went to lunch with 2 of my girlfriends.

I was a zoombie last night. I fell asleep on the couch at 8 and woke up to go to bed at 10, woke up at 8 this morning. My husband asked if I was going to sleep all day today. I don't feel bad, guess I just needed some sleep.

Hi, glad to hear from Dee and Susan.

Dee, did you ever get all those forms filled out and signed for your daughter's camp? I don't remember going to summer camp. I was in Girl Scouts and went on one-night camping trips. I think that's why I never want to go comping on vacations.

Susan, you must have needed the rest. Glad you had free time yesterday to party with your friends.

About my veggie garden-----keep your fingers crossed for me. I planted tomatoes, sweet banana peppers, jalapeno peppers and one red sweet pepper.
I never have good luck with tomatoes. If the bugs don't get them, the squirrels do. Maybe this year will be different.

Here I am!!!!!!!!! Sorry that I've been missing in action again. I don't know what the problem is about getting time to get on the computer. It's amazing how many e-mails can accumulate in a few days!!!

I need to cut something off in order to make the Easter challenge! I just wanted to get past -13, but gaining 2 pounds this week will not help matters any.

Summer camp!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!! Terrible memories of Girl Scout camps! Tim goes to Boy Scout camp every summer on the other side of Ohio. He loves every minute of it. This summer he will also be going to band camp in the northern part of the state. He is already looking forward to it. They will stay in dorms at band camp though, not tents.

I'll be planting some tomato plants, but not for a while yet. Still too cold. I have some flowers ordered from a friend's sorority. They'll be delivered in May.

Need to run. We have Palm Sunday services for the district at our church tonight. The orchestra is playing, so I need to get Tim there early.

Bob gets off of work at 8:00. Not sure how much he likes the job. BUT he is working, and it is a steady paycheck. After 2 years of him not working, I'm feeling better.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr My the weather changed for the worse around here... its like 37 degrees out now, and suppose to snow on Mon and Tues! What happened to Spring?

I'm still waiting to get the physical form back from my daughter's Doc so I can enroll her in camp. It's just camp camp I guess.. not sure what they will do. Swim, do some climbing stuff, other then that I dont know. Hmm it doesn't sound like any one enjoyed going to camp.. I used to think that would be fun... course I never went.

I didn't know squirrels liked tomatoes.. thought they only ate nuts? Is there anyway you can keep the squirrles away Tina? Gardening would be too much work just so they could eat your veggies!!

You do sound like you had fun on Sat Susan after school let out . Isn't nice to be able to sleep in some times. Our bodies need time to recoup.

I really pigged out last night on high pt. foods. However, today is a new start. I'm getting ready to go out and walk.

Dee, I can't believe you are having snow this late. Brrr.....

Also Dee, I'm sure your daughter will have a great time. Don't let our opinions and experiences think that she won't. Camps are always different, too.

About the squirrels and my tomatoes , I didn't know they ate them either. We put netting over them to protect from birds. I looked out one day and saw two squirrels going under the net to eat my cherry tomatoes. Hmmm......

Easter challenge around the corner

Tina I am back. It doesnt take long and I am swamped with postings on this thread. And they are always so interesting.

Tina!!! As I look out into my back yard and see the drifts of white snow I find I must hate you I wont be gardening for quite some time. At least 2 months. I spent the weekend at Gardenscape- a garden show and I saw spring. and it was wonderful. I cant wait to get into the garden and dig and plant and plan.

I have started lots of plants in the house and they are doing well. 4 years ago I bought a new house and was faced with landscaping an empty lot. Good thing I discovered that I love it. Each year I keep adding to my little peice of heaven.

Weigh in is on Wednesday for me. I was hoping to lose 2.2 to get my next 5 lb star but I have had the nibbles and while not over points not sure I will make that much of a loss. It would be wonderful going into the Easter holiday with a good loss.

My pantry is full of chocolate. My nephew is coming and I must be a doting aunt. I also bought him a coloring book, cars and a game.

While everyone is eating chocolate I will be eating those mini York peices. They are low fat and I will get the sensation of chocolate for 2 points a serving which is all I want.

Hi Kady, welcome back.
WOW, I can't believe so many people have snow.
I dearly love our weather except for one thing-----no Fall. We go straight from 80's & 90's into mild winters. I would love some cool temps to go with the changing colors of the leaves. So, I guess we both have good seasons.

Easter Candy------I always buy it for our son. He would be so disappointed if I didn't fix his Easter basket. I make a small one for my husband. This year I bought mainly sugar free candy for his.
