PJ...I am really sorry about your father-in-law. Even though you know the inevitable is coming its still the hardest thing to lose a loved one or to watch a loved one hurting! Hope you all have a safe trip!

Brenda...where are you? I'm glad things are working out for you finally! Moving to PA was the best thing I ever did! Sometimes that change of environment is just what we needed for a fresh start!

Julie...I am going back to WW tomorrow morning. Topic for the week? I love knowing what to expect at my meetings...gives me time to think about it so I can participate. I am not a quick thinker on the spot!

PJ, I am sooooo very sorry about your father-in-law. I don't care how much you expect it, it is always a shock. It takes awhile for reality to set in atleast that has been my experience. Michell, yes sometimes a change of scenery is just what we need. Are you re-joining ww tomorrow? I just went tuesday and lost .8 but that was for 4 wks, if I had missed tuesday they said I would have had to re-join. It is so hard to keep this up but I won't give up.

Well everyone, I have had the flu for a couple of days and came home sick today after working only 1 hour, I will be staying home and recovering tomorrow too and hopefully back to work on Friday.

Its like a ghost town today!!

I really did it...I went back to WW this morning and the damage isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be....don't get me wrong..there was major damage...just not as much as I had thought!! Thank God!!

I didn't tell John I was going back but I almost slipped and mentioned something from the meeting. I want to get a chunk off and see if he notices first. Now that I am layed off from work I can get out and start walking again. Andrew loves to be outside so I can put him in the jogging stroller and he can go with me. I take him to daycare mon afternoons and thursday mornings so he can still socialize with the kids and not be so attached to me. He loves playing with the other kids. So we budgeted that so I plan my WW meeting around that. I plan to stay for each meeting because when I lost the 97 the first time I stayed for the meetings. It really does help, I don't know how I just know it does! I do so much better each week.

Brenda I hope you are feeling better. How is the job going?

Julie...can you give us a hint on the next meeting topic?

I am not sleeping well and I get so irritable..Dh has been sick for two weeks now with cold first then sore throat then ear infection and the antibiotics are not helping..I told him to tell the doc not me..he thinks I am his personnal nurse and I don't feel like taking care of him right now..such a baby!!!!!!!!! My son is sick too so I was busy disinfecting the house when the boys left!

We had my sons 22nd BD dinner and I am glad it is over..nice to see the boys but I'm glad they don't live here anymore..too much work! I had banked points I didn't use and I go out to eat today with friends so maybe they will get used then! The resturant I don't like very much..too much smoking in there and the food is not that good but my friend picked it and is paying. I need to get some sleep! I'm gonna be a bear today....very humid too!

Hi everyone. Pamela, you have my deepest condolences. My best friend lost her mother this week, also. Not a good week.

It's good to see everyone here! It's almost like old times. I started back on WW again. I had strayed because of the stupidest excuses, but I'm back.

Howdy Girls!!

Just checking in on my owlie buds! It seems everyone is around -- except EMMY!! LOL (stop lurking girl!)

I am doing ok -- holding my own with WW. Nothing new there! Trying my hardest to get over this hump. I am down 6lbs and NEVER get past this point. This is when I gain some back - then I lose some and start all over again. Its VERY frustrating. But I am not quitting - I go to WW every Wednesday nite and face the scale. I am tracking really well and that is a huge help. And I have to say drinking EXTRA water is a godsend too. I have about a gallon a day (sometimes more) and even if I have a few "slip ups" the water helps. REALLY! Water and Tracking. 2 huge keys to a good week for me.

Michelle - I am so glad you are back at WW. You can do it girl!! I have faith in you - good luck!!

Brenda - Congrats on your .8 loss. Its a step in the right direction! Sorry you were sick - sounds like you are doing better now though.

Candice - {{{HUG}}} Sorry your DH has been sick - that is always hard on the ladies. When my BF is sick - LOOK OUT! I know how you feel. I hope your "free" dinner was fun!! You do so well with your points. Are you at goal yet?

Judy - Good luck with WW - I know you can do it!! How many have you lost so far? You were on a roll there - you can do it again!

Well I should go and hit the hay - my sisters are coming tomorrow for a visit -- and my nephews and Livvy too. It will be a busy day. I love it though - the kids make it so fun! I am cooking too -- but I love that too. Cooking has become so therapeutic for me. Its GREAT!

Tara..water and keeping tack of points is a must! I have been at goal for almost a year now! Always drinks lots and keep track every single day!

It was good to see my friends but the food was not that great!
I had a grilled chicken breast with a sweet & sour sauce over rice and didn't eat all the rice and had a cup of veggie soup and salad bar(just lettuce and a few beets) oh and a glass of tomato juice..but I was still hungry when I left like I had eaten nothing! I counted the chick as 7 (not sure how many ounces but it was small and the rice as 3 and the soup as 1 so I had points to spare so I had a bowl of cereal (high fiber) when I got home later to fill me up. They had the fried catfish and it looked so good! I was afraid the fat would not agree with me since I am not used to it. I do not like eating out! My friend found a cracker wrapper in her soup!


Well I hurt and need some serious sleep to kick this pain and fatigue!

Well, I think I might be finally feeling better. I left work wednesday after an hour, took thursday off and went in friday and left after 15 minutes. I was soooooooooooo sick, just couldn't handle even being alive. Yesterday was a little better and I got some things done but couldn't keep anything down at all, even water. I woke up this morning at 6:30 and had a turkey and cheese sandwich, so far so good. The only good thing about this whole thing is my scale shows a 4 pound loss, probably will gain that right back as soon as I start keeping food down but I can hope. I would like to get down a bit before my trip to NYC on April 20th so I can feel comfortable in my clothes.

PJ, still thinking about you girl, hope things are going well. Hang in there.

Tara, I get stuck at certain weights too. I could not for the life of me get past 191 when I was there, I mean it lasted months, up and down a couple pounds but never below 191. It is very frustrating, my scale this morning said 156 so there is hope and once you get moving again you shouldn't get stuck for awhile. I seem to get stuck every 10 lbs or so, just hang in there and don't give up.

Judygal, that is great that you went back to ww, you are now on the right track. You have been through soooo much and just to see you are still trying shows you are a very strong woman, you will make it as long as you never give up.

Candice, I am sorry you are having such a hard time lately. It is hard when people in the house are sick and everyone gets a little grouchy. It is alot of work on a wife and mother when others are sick because all the work seems to fall on us, even if we are also sick. Husbands are generally the worst of the bunch when they are sick. You are right, they are big babies. They seem to feel like nobody has ever been as sick as they are, they just don't get it, it's a guy thing, hang in there.

Michelle, work is going the same, lots of layoffs and things are scary with my company. We work with mostly aviation and we haven't recovered from sept 11th, I am not sure we will. I am surprised our doors are still open. Lots of strange things going on. My friend in the print shop ordered 1 pound box of rubber bands and was only allowed 1/4 pound, now that is scary. They have really cut down to just the immediate necessities. Rumors are going on that we may be in the process of being sold but who knows you know how rumours are.

Hi....I'm here but on my way to bed. Had a very loooong day and a delayed flight with two very tired kids on the way home. Didn't get in until around 11pm. Boy Michele.....do I remember those days. I just want to tell you that it doensn,t get any easier/harder.....just different. That's the way it felt for me with two children who are now .....AAAAAHHH!!!!!!!! 13 AND 7. When I'm too tired to get up and make them breakfast....they can make their own cereal or whatever but there are now "other" obstacles like THEIR PERSONALITIES to deal with .......but we are all God Blessed to have them.....healthy or not....they are a gift.

Now, as for my trip to Pa.......BRrrrrrrrrr...........I'm staying put. I felt pains from my accident back in '99 that I haven't felt in months........right to the bone! OUCH! That cold weather is nice to visit....and to bundle up in warm clothes and blankets for a LITTLE while but I'll stay here in Florida and visit you northerners once in a while and vice-a-versa. Speaking of......WHO'S NEXT!!!????? to come visit ole P.J. We're still in the process of moving in. They just finished putting in all the new baseboads in all of the closets while I was gone and did alot of yard work. Deb even got some impaitients for me to plant so I'd feel "right at home"......especially since it WILL be home. Soooo, today will be spent moving many things over in boxes to put away ORGANIZED into all the closets.....and there ARE many. That's one of the best things in this house. LOTS AND LOTS OF CLOESTS and they're big! Not that the one's here aren't but I'm talking......every single one is a walk-in with organizers in the bedrooms and the den has a huge walk-in.....I even have a HALL closet for the vacuum. Not THAT'S a new one for me........since the hall closet here had a zillion towels for the kids and the pool.....lots of games and puzzels, etc. The vacuum had to go into the garage. geeez, we have ALOOOOOOT of sh**.....to say the least. That's why we're having a garage sale in two weeks. Moving is a great way to find all the "junk" you thought you wanted but really need to get rid of. Hopefully.....someone else will think my "stuff" is "good stuff" and so on and so on.......any of you ever hear George Carlin's act of "stuff". Well, that's me. Hopefully I will be a non "stuff" person after this move. Yeah....right!
I've been doing great OP......I was aware of everything that was going into my mouth and am still op today. Have dinner planned for tonight already too. Bill had to fly out to Portland today and wont be back until the weekend. That's when we'll be moving big stuff so I'll be able to make "kid friendly" foods for the kids and I can have soup and salad which I would have every night if I could.

PJ....I was hoping it would get easier! LOL John called out sick today and Andrew has been a piss!! I told him...see...thats why I need to keep him in daycare at least a couple of half days during the week while I am not working. HE needs a break from me too! He goes Monday afternoon and Thursday mornings. He likes playing with the other kids and I get to do stuff without having to drag him around too! He is a blessing....he is the best thing that ever happened to me...oh...and his dad is too!

Has anyone tried any of the recipes in the WW crockpot cook book. They have a macaroni and cheese that sounds soooo good!

Oh, PJ...where in Pennsylvania were you?

PAIN..PAIN..PAIN....... Oh my gosh I have not had this kind of pain in a very long time!!!! I even walked today and did some cleaning...My legs and arms are just not working right and so much pain in the muscles..stretching even hurts instead of feeling better.....Hope I don't have too many more of these days.....can't hardly stand it and I can't concentrate when I hurt so bad!

I need some heat..so I will get a cup of hot tea and turn on the moist heating pad!

Dh is a little better and came home today and started asking me if I could do this and that for him (after I had just told him how bad I felt!) and I told him I was feeling pretty bad and how could he ask me to do all that stuff and his answer was....one more thing..could we have sex! Well you know the answer to that..so he took his bath and went to bed alone! Pouting! When I am this much pain you don't mess with me!

It has been a few days since I have been back here.....I will try and be better

Hope I'm not to late with this but this weeks topic is portion control. At first I thought that it would be boring but I have been bringing in different things like peanut butter and have a member come up and eye a tbsp. and then see how close they are to the realy tbsp.

This topic is very important to everyone who does eye their food. I keep telling my members that when they are at home, to be on the safe side, measure everything. You can eye your food when you go out to eat.

I have been a member of WW since 1993 and I measure all my food on a daily basis. This is why I'm sure I can stay right around my goal.

I have to run here, need to leave by 7:30 am so that I can get to Green Bay for my meetings.
