  • I don't know if it's "natural" or not, but I use Cetaphil. It has no fragrances and it's non-irritating (and a little goes a long way).
  • Natural stuff? Burt's Bees anything.
  • By for THE BEST thing that I have found for dry skin in pure glycerin!!

It will make your skin so smooth and soft and it will do this very quickly.

I've been using this on my face and elbows for a short time now and you would have never guessed that I had dry skin. My elbows feel like the backside of a baby!!!

You can buy pure glycerine at the drug store. It will be down the isle with first aid products. If you can't find it ask someone to help you. Just make sure they know what glycerine is or they might tell you that they don't carry it....they do..just make sure they know what they are looking for. It's inexpensive. I think my bottle was under $5 and you will only use a drop or two at a time.

When you use glycerine make sure that you are mixing it with a small amount of water. It's easy to do. I just wash my face and keep my hand wet and face wet then I squeeze out two drops of glycerine onto my finger tips and message it into my skin. It won't clog your pores and it will make your skin very soft. If you want to read more about this go to...www.makeupalley.com and do a search for glycerine as a moisturizer.

I even work in a beauty supply store and could sell woman all sort of things to moisturize their faces and bodies...I always tell them...go by some glycerine. Often they come back and thank me..
  • I found recently that I like the line of "Gold Bond" lotions. Being a CNA I wash my hands constantly so my hands are extremely chapped.

I know it's probably not the natural that your looking for, but it works great!
  • i dont know if is natural or not but i use Malibu hemp lotion you can get it from walmart. i have very very dry skin. as flourgirl said glycerin that is one of the things in the hemp lotionand why i think it works well
  • Google Little Moon Essentials, they have lots of nice lotions with all-natural ingredients (Gimme a Break, Beach All You Want, Tired Old ***)
  • have you tried aveeno?
  • The best thing I've found for chafing is to use cream used for nappy (diaper) rash in babies like Sudocrem.

Works well for me and quickly too.

  • That's really interesting about the glycerine. I did some research yesterday and it looks like a really good moisturizer. Then I looked at my body lotion's ingredients: water, glycerine.... Looks like I'll be buying some of that! I like cheap alternatives (like I use hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash--it really cleans and helps to heal any canker sores I get).
  • I LOVE Alba lotions. Especially the Very Emollient Body Lotion. It's very light for the great moisture it gives.

P.S. I also love Makeupalley for all the reviews!!
  • I've heard that St. Ives uses natural ingredients. I did an online survey about St. Ives and read that they do not use any chemicals, colors, fillers etc. I'm not sure if it's true - but why would they promote the idea if it isn't (false advertising is illegal)?
  • If you have a Giant Eagle near you they have a natural foods section and in that section there is a huge thing of various lotions and sprays and stuff that are completely natural. I've never tried any of them because I use mens aftershave lotion on my legs (helps with razor burn and really makes them smooth) and Bath and body works for the rest. I do agree though that Burt's Bees honey milk lotion is amazing. Smells great and really works.
  • I'm really not sure how natural it was, but I did have some amazing hemp body lotion I got at Sally Beauty Supply a couple of years ago that smelled like pina coladas. Not even sure if they still make it, but it was very very rich and moisturizing.

    Hardly "natural" at all. http://www.amazon.com/St-Ives-Advanc.../dp/B0000530ND

I would suggest using Alba Organics, Alba Botanica, Avalon Organics or Jason.
