Exercise

  • It sounds like we all need to get moving.....I am going to start an Exercise thread similar to the menu's maybe it will help!!!

    Saturday

    Treadmill-30 minutes
    Crunches-50...this almost killed me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sunday

    Played in the snow with the kids and the dogs
    Cleaned bathrooms/kitchen (YUK)
  • It not only sounds like exercise...but hard exercise and torture!!!!
  • Groooooaaaaaaannnnn! I'll just lie here and watch, OK?
  • Baylee, I had one of those. It was called a Cardio-Trainer and I used it for a while but found it was too hard on my arthritic knees and back so I sold it. Now I have (on trial) an Aero-Glider which gives you a cross country skiing action. I've only just started using it and have discovered that DH needs to tighten the bolts for me as the whole contraption is pretty wobbly. I hope to build up to about an hour on this thing but so far I've only gotten up to 10 minutes.
    I am back to my water workouts three times a week though. Sometimes we seem to yack more than exercise but we do try to keep arms and legs in motion while we natter. Hopefully this counts for something. At least it gets me moving which is better than sitting around noshing.

    Treadmill 30 minutes
  • Tonight I will be playing volleyball for 2 hours.
    Tuesday, 4:00-5:00 ~ work out at the Y while the boys have tennis.
    Wednesday-Saturday ~ early morning workouts at the Y

    That's the plan, hope I can stick to it!
  • Just walked around the meadow IN THE SNOW with the dogs. Only out there 10 minutes but it's a start. Did not cough which is a shame because they way I cough counts as exercise!
  • I am aiming for one wall of the kitchen stripped of wallpaper--yes, that is equal to about 1 hour of physical activity because the wallpaper is completely adhered to the wall!!! (sob)
  • This week did sunday 45 on the elliptical and burned 650 todya did the same.
