If one point equals 50 calories, then how come when I use my scale, fiber/fat/calories equals points, it doesn't seem that way. For instance, I ate a strawberry applesause cup that had 1pt, but 80 calories. I am so confused. Also someone that only has 20 pts, would only get 1000 cal per day, if 1 pt equals 50 calories. Isn't that too low for anyone to go.
One point doesn't always equal 50 calories. It's just a rough average. But one point can contain a lot more. A food containing 115 calories, 0 fat, and 4 g fiber would equal just 1 point. Reduce the fiber to 2 g and it equals 2 points. Your calories will vary from day to day, which many experts say is best.
