Default Miracle Whip Lite

Help. It dawned on me today that I may have been counting points incorrectly for this product.

Should Miracle Whip Lite be counted as a creamy lite salad dressing (2T for 2 pts.) or as lite mayo (2 tsp. for 1 pt)? Thoughts anyone?

Default creamy lite

Creamy Lite dressing is a GENERIC term for salad dressing that is typically Pourable" from the jar. The nutritional information prevails for the item -- it counts the way it is calculated, and however the N.I. works out on your poinsfinder is how it should be logged and counted. Bummer if it's higher -- but that's how it goes! :-)

2 tablespoons Miracle Whip Light is 88 cal/7.8 fat grams/0 fiber grams or 2 points

or you might want to try Miracle Whip Free (I like it better than the light version) for 30 cal/0 fat/0 fiber or 1/2 a point if you count them that way as I do or 4 tablespoons for 1 point!

Thanks Kelly S and imaleader for the info. I have been counting it correctly I guess but had a moment of panic thinking perhaps I had been underestimating. Much appreciated.

Seasaw: On additional thought -- depending on how you're using your Miracle Whip, something I do w/ no loss in taste and even getting in a little more nutrition is to use half mayo/or whip and half plain no fat yogurt (like dannon.) If it's in tuna salad or egg salad, I also add a tsp or so of sweet pickle juice (to simulate the tang/sweet of mayo/whip and it's great that way. Sneaks in some (ok, a little) dairy, and calcium, and fewer "chemicals" especially if you're using the lite or no fat dressings...
