I was wondering if anyone was familiar with knee braces...I was playing a bit of floor hockey and I think I pulled a muscle around my knee (i.e. it feels stretched when my leg is the completely straight position - I must have locked and turned or something during the game). I've suspected for awhile that my one leg is slightly shorter than the other, though I don't know if this is attributed to it. I've been doing some slow jogging a couple times a week with no problems, but floor hockey is more short sprints and quick turns.
Does anyone think that some sort of knee brace/support would help? If so, are there any brands/stores that you can recommend that work well for overweight people? (I'm in Ottawa). (I remember in the past that I always had troubles with fitting things like knee pads because of the part of my leg just above my knee - you know, that extra padding on the inside that makes the part just above your knee disproportionately larger than the part below...

). Though, of course I'll have to wait and see that my knee feels normal before playing again - but the thought of having to stop is bumming me out! It was our first game!
If anyone has any suggestions, they would be much appreciated!
Thanks!
