Default 300+ And Ready To Try Again...#903

WELCOME !!!

We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.

We want to invite everyone to join us in our journey.
We share laughter and tears.
We share what works for us and what doesn't.
We often use a "Topic of the Day" for discussion.

Motivational Monday
Tuesday Tips
Wednesday Wish List .. and What you are doing to obtain it.
Thankful Thursday
FUN Friday ... don't wait until you lose your weight.
Sit-up Saturdays - any physical activity
Share your Success Sunday

These are not required topics ...just ideas to share. We often find them very helpful. We also share heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations.

We have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, and more. Please feel free to check them all out.

We have found this thread to be more than just a support group...
we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us.

WELCOME!

I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.

If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for Amazon on any page in the forum, or by clicking on the button on the main 3FC page at www.3fatchicks.com . A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.

Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.

There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. So please, if you are directly quoting someone else or printing an article in whole or in part, please give credit where credit is due!!!!

Patti - I agree - it was a really good show. Ammi will defintely enjoy it! The only thing was that I was surprised they were so hard on Katherine.

Lori - I didn't know who to vote for either - everyone was really good!

Kayley
- Congrats on the grades! I knew psych wouldn't be as bad as you thought. You must be thrilled to have finished.

Wow, threads are zooooming by!

Thanks for all the well wishes for hubby's job. It was in fact, the job for which he had the phone interview, and then 2 in person interviews to which he wore the suit... now he's gonna need a new wardrobe, as he's lost over 50 pounds and his old clothes don't fit!1

Zelma -- Like Nancy, I'm just not sure about what your Doc said. I'd ask over in the maintainers forum too...

There was more I wanted to say, but I can't remember as it took so long to read the threads!!

Lori, My poor Simon, I accidently slammed the truck door on his little paw. He just has the tiniest limp now, and not even all the time, but I think it was bruised pretty badly.

Kayley - Whoop, WHOOP! On those grades!!

NANCY, I think it was you that had money concerns. Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but otherwise please hear me. I am in the same position now that you could be in. I love my husband, but after less than 7 years of marraige my own credit cards have gone from ZERO to over $17,000, entirely because he isn't responsible with money, and I wasn't controlling enough. I've trusted him, and now I'm going to pay for it for the rest of my life. He could show me these great looking financial plans on paper, but in reality they were rubbish. I believed because I wanted and needed to, but truth is starting to kick in. The way he's handling our finances, I'm $400-$600 further behind every month, and my credit is going to ****. Doesn't mean he's a bad guy, just irresponsible to the point of destruction. Don't pay the man's bills for him. If he's not mature enough to pay them himself, then he's just looking for a neck to throw hs anchor around. A friend of mine's daughter was proposed to, and she told him yes, but not until his bills were 100% paid off. They had to wait like 3 years while he got the job done, but she said she didn't want to start the marraige in debt, and if he didn't care enough to get a grip BEFORE they were married, then he would never catch up afterwards. I wish I'd just had the brains and the (JULEE, how do you spell that again??) Chutspah? to ask him how deep in the hole he was BEFORE I said "I do". I was living a fairy tale romance at the time, and I was STUPID! Now I can't save myself without destroying him, and I sure as **** can't save him in any case. I can only go down with the ship, or jump. I don't like the options.

Enough crying. OK, maybe one more thing. While I'm out on the road, the barn owner where I've moved my boys is in love with MY dream horse, and spends time brushing him every night. I'm so jealous. I think I'd rather have someone go after my husband than my horse. sniff.

I had ordered some diet pills on-line over a month ago. They never came, so today I cancelled the order and disputed the charge on my cc bill. I guess that's a good thing.

NOW can I go home please?

Best wishes everyone!! I'm so encouraed every time I read of every loss, so keep up the great work, and thanks for being so tolerant of my whining. I know if I can get over this hump and stay here on the list, I'll make it. I have to make it. I promised Annie. <Big Grin> This too shall pass, right? and when it does I'm going to be stronger, inside and out, and skinnier!

Good Evening ladies

Brenda: Congrats on getting further on your business. If the company buying your patio rocks is online, pm me with the address.

Julee: Like you don't already have enough stress! Hang in there. Just take one thing at a time.

Crock: Congrats on passing your keyboarding test!

Cerro: Happy Birthday.

Brandnewme: Happy Birthday. It is good to see you posting. Congrats on being down 2 pounds too!

MariaLucia: Happy Birthday to you! So sorry that you are having such a hard time right now. Big

Val: I know that you will do just fine! I have faith in you. Don't make me LOL. Drive safe and I hope you get to come home soon.

Suemarie: Sounds like you were having some big fun. I bet your daughter really enjoyed dancing with you. I've never seen one except for on "King of the Hill" one time.

Ammi: Hiya girl. Still doing well I see.

Wylenn: for your hubby getting a job.

Zelma: I hope that you and your doctor can come up with something soon for your depression. It is so awful living with that and We are here for you. NO need to appologize for whinning.

Allison: Hi. Glad to see you back.

Lori: Please don't think I was gettin onto you. I just was trying to tell you how much we care about you. I really want you to be ok. It didn't bring up bad thoughts for me or anything other than I want you to be happy. I hope that the medication that the Dr. is giving you will help so much that you will see only days! You are such a sweetie. I'm glad you are going back to LA Diet place. You were doing so well. I know you can continue on where you left off. I'm rooting for you. If you ever need to vent or talk, just email me. Or pm me. I'm here for you.

As for me, I'm doing fine. Looking forward to Thursday morning scale meeting. I have been staying very op and working out at Curves 3 times a week. I do have an NSV. The first two weeks at Curves my Dr. wanted me to only do the routine one time around instead of the two times around that make the 30 minutes. This was my first week doing the full 2 times around and I did it really well. I didn't get too tired or anything. I was so proud of myself that after i was finished, I looked in the mirror and told myself, "good job". Something new I'm trying. To be nice to myself instead of negative all the time.

Blessings everyone,
Annie

Hi, this really has to be quick, Aiden had to be rushed to hospital yesterday, we took him to the Doc's TWICE in an hour and it was decided he needed to get a chest xray in case it was pneumonia, though it was suspected he had a lung infection. The Doc had given him a nebuliser in case it was asthma, as the symptoms were the same as when my oldest son started with asthma, but it made no difference.
He started really gasping and coudn't get his breath, I was really scared he was going to die, that's when we rang the doc & had the second visit, though by the time we got there, 5 minutes, he was still gasping, but not as bad. We had to take him to the Children's hospital in Derby, where he was given steroids & they heard him cough, they said it was croup, I never realised it was serious, apparently children are often hospitalised for it. After a four hours he was allowed home, all I had had all day 8am-5pm was 1 glass of water and a bite of hubby's pizza, by the time we got home I felt ill with the stress. We got them to bed after we had soup and later I had 2 pints of Irish cider and a kebab, or half coz Steve wanted it, even though he didn't buy one for himself! Its back to exercising & healthy eating now as Aiden, apart from a cough, is back to normal, and I feel a bit sick after all that junk on an empty stomach!!!
I will try & do personals later, sorry.
xxsharon

Morning All,

Who needs to exercise I say, when they can just hoover (vacuum) through the house By the time I was finished today the sweat was pouring off me. I have just sat in front of my air cooler for the last 20 minutes cooling down

Kayley - WELL DONE on those wonderful test results you should be really proud of yourself. Are you going to do anything or buy anything as a reward for doing so well?

Oh well that's not too bad about the scales then, well it all depends on how often you are at Andrew's Seriously I know I nag, but I know it's each to their own when it comes to weighing. If I had my way I would never set foot on the scales again!!

Brandnewme - well done on the 2 lbs lost. I am glad you are getting back into a routine.

I am sorry things aren't very good at home at the moment, I hope whatever your problems are that they will soon be resolved or at least improve some.

Lori - that's great that you are focusing more on your weight loss now, and I hope you enjoy your first meeting at LA Weight loss. You will have to tell us all about it, especially me, who has no idea what LA Weight loss entails

Patti - glad to hear that you think I will enjoy Idol when I get to see it on Friday. I love Elvis's songs, so I hope they all do the ones they chose some justice!

Nancy - so the judges were hard on Katherine huh? I guess it's always more difficult for a woman to sing an Elvis song. I think this is the worst year for me because although I am favouring Elliot and Taylor, I don't want Katherine or Chris to go either. I think this year we should have 4 winners

Heather - that is so cool that hubby got the job that you told us he had had a phone interview for. It's also very cool that he has lost 50 lbs. Having a new job and being that much smaller is a wonderful reason for buying new clothes!

Valerie - sounds like things aren't improving much with hubby. I really am sorry. I hope you have somebody at home that can give you lots of supportive comforting hugs.

As for barn owner that has taken a liking to your dream horse, it's lovely that he is taking such good of him, but sounds like you would like to cut his hands off Had to smile at what you said about you preferring somebody to go after your hubby rather than your horse At least your horse doesn't have any financial problems huh?

How long until you are home again, will you be there for long before you need to get on the road again?

Annie - woohoo that's brilliant that you did the whole Curves exercise routine. You are amazing. I weigh a little less than you yet I doubt I could exercise like you are. Keep it up

Sharon - oh no, poor Aiden, poor you I felt bad enough for you having to see him so poorly with what you thought was a cold, so I can just imagine how upset you were when he really took a turn for the worse. Croup is so nasty. Beth hasn't had it, but I have seen kids on Children's Hospital with it. I am so glad that after some treatment he was allowed home and is much better now. As for that kebab you had, and the cider, forget about it, you needed it, and like you said, you are back on track now, so that's what counts.

Ok I better do some emailing now, have a good day all,

Hugs,

Ammi

Ammi -- Yes, my hubby (like some others here), has the spending bug and I am the gatekeeper in many ways. *sigh* So he doesn't even need excuses to spend and LOVES to shop for clothes! He also does laundry, but, yes, ladies, he is taken!!

Now that he has not one but 2 great excuses to shop -- look out!
