I use some of Leslie's older walk-aerobics tapes. They aren't dull exactly but she uses the same moves in each of the three videos I have over and over so you do get rather used to the movement quickly. This is excellent if you are either (a) just starting out or (b) clumsy like I am.
I also really enjoy Susan Powter's workout videos. I don't consider her tapes to be beginner tapes (though she's very good at reminding you that its absolutely okay to march in place if you don't get a move or if you are out of breath). Not as much repetition between tapes with her videos, I find. She has an excellent strength training video -- active warm up and cool down, plus 40 minutes or so of upper and lower body strength exercises.
