Default Feeling down today

I'm feeling down today. I have absolutely no reason to feel down, but I'm so exausted after 4 days home with the kids with one of them sick, that I'm totally exausted this morning.

I feel like going to the cafeteria and buying a muffin so I can eat that for my 9am snack. I have to fight it, but that's what I feel like. I feel tired so I feel like eating something that tastes really good to make me feel really good!

Does it make any sense?

You know if you eat that muffin, I doubt it is going to chear you up, you probably need something to boost your mood. Take a break at lunch and go do something for yourself. Hang in there, I am sure things will get better with time,

I know how you feel I felt down all weekend and yesturday, I had a chocolate cake and sugar pie, but my mood did not improve. So I don't think that unhealthy food will fix your mood. I have been sick last week and things got worst before they got any better, so don't do like me and go down that road, not worth it, YOu can do this,

Yes, it makes sense.....comfort food! Being exhausted is one of the main reasons for over eating.

Could you get the muffin and have a few bites and throw it away??? I know it's wasteful but sometimes we need some comfort food. Or find something lower calorie that would do the same for you???

If you have to have it, then eat it and enjoy every single bite but go right back to your meal plan don't stay off all day, that is where we go wrong.

Hope you are feeling in better spirits soon.

Phyllis p.s. just saw Sylvie answer as we are posting at the same time and I agree try to get past this maybe a small piece of hard candy will do the trick???

Hello Ladies

I know you're right. Eating something unhealthy probably won't make my mood go away! I ate my yogurt and low cal hot chocolate for snack! The only problem is when I get in this type of mood, craving for "comfort food" keeps coming back all day! I guess I will have to try to hang in there until I get more rested and my mood changes to a happy mood!

If it wouldn't be so darn cold outside, I'd go for a walk at lunch time. I can't wait for mild weather to start so I can go walking every day! Walking always makes it easier for me to finish my work day! I just wish I could lay down on the couch with a good feel good movie at home alone today! But I know deep down, I would be eating a bunch of comfort foods as well! I guess it's better to be at the office away from temptation for now!

I have a line dancing class tonight! That should change my mood for sure if it hasn't changed all day!

My suggestion is to have Yoplait's chocolate mousse yogurt on hand for when those moods strike. The chocolate cherry and the chocolate raspberry are both yummy and make you feel like you are eating something you shouldn't.
