Default Anyone heard of or using Body Fortress brand protein powder?

I picked some of this up yesterday and will be trying it tomorrow as I restart my protein plan, which I took about a month off of, but now find that I miss! It looks like a very fine consistency whey pp so it looks good initially, just wondering if anyone had any experience?

I just got some a few days ago, I like it so far. It mixes well and doesn't have a funky after taste. I got the vanilla so I could mix it with fruit. Do you have the chocolate or vanilla?

I have the chocolate, it's fine, I don't mind it at all. I haven't ever tried another brand though (this one is the cheapest in the UK and I buy it when its on a half price offer) they also sell banana, strawberry and I think another flavour too, but I don't do fake fruit! And I wasn't sure I'd like the vanilla!

I've got the vanilla. I think it's disgustingly sweet with a strange chemically taste. I'm going to try it in protein bars but if it's no good ... I'm going to bin it!

sb I have a ton of vanilla - post it over here if you want to bin it!

I think it's ok, I don't really have anything to compare it with. I used casilan 90 from Boots for a while, it was flavourless and ridiculously expensive, so I'll settle for anything as long as it's cheap!

I haven't tried the banana flavour but the strawberry and chocolate flavours are nice

Wow, thanks guys - had no idea it was so popular in the UK, altho it does say (DE) in the corporation name, so perhaps it is a German company, which would explain it's global presence.

I have the chocolate and just made my first shake this morning for b'fast with frozen strawberries & a banana, 3 cups water and 3 scoops powder. And the verdict.....it's YUMMY. I had been using soy, but it made my asthma flare up, so the only comparision I have is to Designer Whey which is like twice the price, so I decided to give this new item on the shelf a try. Seems just fine. As long as I don't get a lactose reaction, I should be fine. I don't with DW unless I mix it with milk. I hope this is refined enough that it's fine for me with fruit and water.

Oh, and just to clarify bc I imagine this sounds like a huge amount. This makes about 40 oz, which I split into 2 - 20 oz. meal replacement shakes. I'm back on my protein plan bc I found myself slipping into the dark side with my food choices again. ugh

OK. Sounds like a win-win situation. I don't like to waste anything. I'll give it one last try in the next few weeks and let you know.

I tried out the vanilla pp (with added cocoa) in Meg's no-bake protein bar recipe. No, thank you. The chemically taste and smell was still there.

2F - it's all yours!

Dh & I are both using it and are on our 3rd or 4th tub. You can get 2# at Walmart for about $12 and 5 or 6lbs at Sam's for about double that. We only use the vanilla. It seems to mix better with milk than water. Great in protein pancakes or french toast too.

I have tried it and thought it was OK, nothing special. The best I have ever had was Muscle Milk, by far. All their protein shakes taste like real milkshakes. I think they have about 20 different flavors. I asked my trainer at the gym about it and he said it's the most popular protein shake amongst weight lifters.
