Default Well it is Wednesday.......

We have made it to the half way point of the week. I was really bad this past weekend, but I seem to be recovering - Thank Goodness! Scale said 180.5 this AM, so I am on my way back to "normal".

It has been a very busy week so far. Robert had the stomach bug on Monday - try that with TWO broken legs! He is feeling better now though. We had to cancel his doctor appt for Monday. It is rescheduled for today at 10 AM. Other than that, I've got work and his therapy today. I am putting a veal stew on before we leave, so dinner will be ready after we get home from therapy. Trying to get back to walking the straight and narrow, ya know??

How is everyone else doing? It seems kind of quiet around here.....Hang in there ladies, we are just getting started! No stopping us now, right?!

TTFN- Sharon

I am still losing, but feeling as though it should be more. I want the 2 lbs. or at least 1 of them. I'm thinking that I need to up my exercise, but my knee is trying to give me problems even with the walking. Sometimes I think that I'm not eating enough food then other times, I think that I'm having too much. Good example is that the book says if you are over 200 lbs. eat 2 snacks. One is good enough for me but I don't know if I'm hurting myself by not eating 2. I welcome any advice on the snack issue.

Okay Laurie! Kick, kick, kick!

Come on - it's only Wed morning! You have PLENTY of time to turn this week around! You can do this Laurie! AND, more importantly, you owe it to yourself to stick with this! Next January we can stand here and admire ourselves and how far we've come, or we can try again. What's it gonna be??? I want to look back at how great I did and be happy that I don't have to resolve AGAIN to lose the weight!! Come on Laurie, jump back on the train and JUST DO IT!

Seriously, just go back to lots of water and good eating. The rest will fall into place! I am at 41 oz of water today so far - how about you???

Laurie, today is a new day with no mistakes in it. You still have time to turn your week around and start eating right. You know, you can do it! Forget about your bad start and make the most out of the rest of the week!

I think it was the Super Bowl parties!

I don't have the whip...

Review your inspiration for starting- that will jump start your engine!

If that doesn't work- cute clothes are a sure-fire motivator for me! The jean trend is slowly reverting to the tapered-leg jeans of the early eighties... wouldn't it be great to strut around in a pair with some saucy stilletto boots?!? Think Blondie, baby!

I can't wear tapered pants. My shoulders are too broad. But all my jeans are embellished. I just love that stuff!

Guys - take a deep breath and begin again...don't let one bad day lead to two - then three and so on and so forth. Gag that inner fat girl and tell her to go lay down by her dish. She likes to perpetuate the downward spiral - don't you let her!

I'm getting the whip...

Yuk - I have to get a cavity filled today and then tomorrow both kids have to go to the orthodontist to have molds of their teeth made - cha ching!!! I feel some anxiety coming on

Laurie - just get up - dust yourself off - and get right back on the wagon train, girl!! You can do it. We are all going to have those days, but just have to remember to get right back to it.

Bren - I would eat both snacks, if I were you. There is something about the way JC has the calories and snacks figured with the timing that seems to work. Plus, I think it helps your body adjust better following his plan. Why cut yourself short?

Sharon - I hope everyone is doing okay at your house - sounds hectic as usual eh?? I can't imagine the stomach flu with no legs to get me to the bathroom

Lafayette - I'm a boot cut jean person - can't stand tapered leg jeans!! I just bought a pair of jeans with silver & pink embellishments on them - way cool They were major bucks - but on sale 50% off and they happened to have my size (for now) and I thought what the heck? They are fun

Man, Daisy- I'm am so afraid that the mullet will be next!

I understand boot cut and flares are still in fashion, too. I am in the pukey in-between sizes stage where one is too big and the other looks like demin sausage casing... I have tried every style!

I had every color of Chuck Taylor All Stars- with screen printed shoe laces! Remember Benetton? I stopped at their store when I was in Vegas just to check out the nostalgia... I didn't know they were still alive!

Yes, Teri. We have all kinds of sausage here in Milwaukee... LOL! We recently ranked high nationally for fitness but I think they place a high value on the ability to drink a case of beer in the first half of a football game in sub-zero temperatures. What a feat of amazing strength and endurance. Watch a Packer home game some time...

Congrats on the hair! Judi Dench! You're a Bond girl! I love short hair! You can leave it kind of messy and people think you styled it!!! I'm growing mine out a little and I really hate it most days. It is also in the pukey in-between stages!

I had raspberry chucks. LOVED those things. I wore them alot with a long black skirt with a lace petticoat and a big black and silver hip-belt.

Damn - that was good stuff.
