Default Hittin' the beach in IA
Just popping in to say Hi. I'm carol.I'm a 32 yo homeschooling mom of 6.Michael and I have been marrued 12 1/2 yrs. I started Phase1 yesterday. I have 100 + lbs to loose. I look forward to getting to know you all.

WElcome to The BEach, Carol. By the way, where the heck is IA? Us Canadians, Brits and Aussies don't know the abbreviations for the States.

That should be Indiana. Correct me if I'm wrong, guys. I've lived in FL (Florida), MI (Michigan) and TX (Texas) but a long time ago we had to memorize all the abbreviations in school.

I'll answer for Carol, if she doesn't mind (since she's HS'ing, I'm sure she doesn't have an abundance of time online). IA stands for Iowa.

BTW, Carol, welcome to The Beach. I, too, am a HS'ing mom in SE GA. I'm waiting for my book (and a paycheck) and will be starting the SBD -- right now, I'm reading all I can get my hands (well, eyes on since this is the 'net) on.

How about everyone putting their location into their profile - sans abbreviations. It's somewhat disconcerting to hear someone complain about heat when we are in snow! Knowing where folks live would help. Shad, for example, is in high summer in Australia!
Remember, we are an international community and we Canadians never were forced to learn the abbreviations for the states.
