My mom was raised in northern Iowa and then moved to Washington at 16 or 17. When I was three we moved to Oregon. I still managed to pick up the Iowa drawl and get questioned about it frequently.
Iowa! I have a friend there - she's Sandy Greiner and is a congressperson and a pig farmer! Neat lady. I was talking to her just this morning as she gets ready to go back to DM. See I know that but not the state abbreviation! Dumb Canuk!
