Default OK... What's the Xmas Damage?

I ate what I wanted Xmas Day, (although went for a massive walk on the day itself, and a good run Boxing Day) - and the damage was still 1 and a half lbs. Now, I don't do New Year's Day - and I've been force feeding the kids all the leftover chockies and biccies and can avoid temptation - so I know that's pretty well it, now. But am still annoyed with myself that even just one day off the wagon has put me back a bit.

I ate sensibly all day xmas day, as I hate mince pies, xmas cake and pud I have no problems avoiding them, and are veggie so just had Quorn roast with veggies and no gravy ... so no more calorific than a normal day!

But where I went mad was some biccies at tea time. Also, DH bought me some hand made chockies and in past years I got a big box and scoffed the lot. This year I made him get the smallest box and then also shared the whole lot with him, so I only got half. Mind you, I also ate some crackers which are full of salt and normally I avoid - so not sure how much of my naughty 1 and a half lbs is water weight and how much chocky!

What's your damage? And how will you do damage limitation?

Well I was pretty good christmas day only had one small slice of chocolate log so I lost 3 lbs! I was pretty happy.

However, I've been snacking on my mums chocs (she got loads for xmas and does'nt even like chocolate - the injustice) for the last couple of days and I've gained a pound.

Nevermind I have started fresh today and I will get my mum to hide all left over temptations when she gets home.

Unhappy No Weight Loss

No weight loss during christmas, when I have been losing 2.5lb per week. So I guess the damage is about 2.5 lb. Not too bad for eating whatever I wanted, but still kept up the exercising!

I'm around 3.5lbs up from my lowest weight of 176.6lbs - grrrrrrrr.

But today I took all the left over chocolates and mince pies etc into work, and left them in the office kitchen - they'd all been scoffed by 9am!

Back in the saddle again...

I've gained 1/2 a pound - not too bad. My "official" weigh in is on Friday, so I hope to get it off by then. I ate all my favorites over Christmas - just in smaller quantities than usual. Gave away big box of chocolates and a box of fancy candied fruit.

I'm not intending to look until early next week. I'm planning to be good over the weekend (no new year plans) to undo some of the damage.

However, I do have a huge quantity of calorific treats in the house that my oh so considerate relatives bought me for Christmas, and if I don't eat them they'll stay in the house looking at me.

I imagine there is damage, but I don't know how much yet, and I'll wait til the gym is open before work so I can weigh in at the normal time before I check. Wouldn't want it to be affected by food or anything like that

I've been force feeding my kids all the chockie and biscuits in the house, only to have had to buy a second wave of them due to unexpected relative visitation, tomorrow!

I know what you mean, YP, as my family also eat mountains of processed foods and chocolate-encrusted anythings with gay abandon, and love waving it about in my face, too! (Although oddly, it has no appeal for me anymore, but the way they think it does is really irritating!)

On the pudge front, I weighed in again on Thurs only to see I'd mysteriously lost 2.5 lb overnight - the previous day the other .5 lb - which put me back on my pre-xmas weight! Must have just been water weight as I've never in the past 6 months *lost* 2 and a half lbs in one day. Scales are electronic with new battery, otherwise I'd have been a bit suspicious!

So I'm leaving the scales alone now til weigh-in day (Monday) and we'll see the state of play, then. I was so pleased to be down in the 11 stones, so to go straight back to being 12 stone, was a real shock earlier this week! Now, so long as I stay in the 11s and go down to target gradually, I'll be perfectly happy with that!

Hope all the other UK chicks have repaired/are repairing the xmas damage - and extra brownie points to those who sustained no damage in the first place!

I had a sneaky peak this morning at the gym, and I was 174.5 which isn't too bad considering I rolled Christmas and a 10 day holiday into one fairly unrestrained, inactive spell. I can't do that every week obviously, but I don't care that much about what are at the end of the day relatively minor fluctuations where I let myself off the leash a bit and then get back on track straight after. 2.5lb is nothing to get worked up about.

And I said I wasn't officially weighing myself til after new year, so there's a chance that the "official" damage might be less than that.

Calorific treats still mainly intact. I don't even have anyone to share them with, so it's a choice between eating them and throwing them away and feeling ungrateful because they were presents. I think I'll actually eat most of them, but slowly, although there are a couple of bits I might chuck.
