Default Caffeine Free - diet drinks

Happy New Year everyone

I've now managed to put on nearly a stone since stopping smoking 3 months ago, which could be worse I suppose , so I have now started the GI diet.

I'm only allowed de-caf in coffee but am allowed tea which seems a bit strange, and as for diet drinks I need anything caffeine free.

I bought a vanilla diet coke yesterday and couldn't see any mention of caffeine although I've had a look on the web today and seems that there is

Does anyone know of any diet drinks that are caffeine free (I tend to drink sugar free squash but thought this would make a change).

Thanks

Try Tango clear and also sugar free lemonade should be caffine free.

Thanks F. I hadn't really thought about lemonade, for some reason I got it into my head that they would all have caffeine in! Is it just the coke based drinks?

I'm pretty sure it's coke based, also mountain dew has caffine in! You can't get it over here any more though I don't think.

Also if you're allowed tea, why not try a sugar free iced tea?

I think sprite is caffeine free and they now do that sprite zero...in my logical world (which might not be logical at all!) all brown drinks have caffeine in them. Didn't they used to make caffeine free coke though? I know Dr Pepper has caffeine in it which is no loss since it is yucky!
Also, have you tried those sugar free fizzy waters that you can get at Tesco/Asda in 1 litre bottles. I think they are usually on 3 bottles for a £1 or something...they are caffeine free and taste so much better than plain water.

Have you checked what tea you allowed? Is it regular Tetley's type tea or does it have to be a herbal caffeine free type tea? I would suggest switching to green tea or if you make a pot, add a bag to your normal tea. It is nice on its own without milk or anything and I'm told it is good for dieters and full of antioxidents and stuff.

Thanks everyone, think I feel another tescos shop coming on

I only drink Earl Grey but I'm a heathen and have milk in it (although now skimmed milk which I am allowed in abundance!). I have just bought some green tea, flavoured with earl grey (which I will try without milk) and one flavoured with pear/apple. Not a big fan of the herbal teas but thought I'd give these a go.

You can get caffeine free diet coke. It tastes exactly the same as diet coke. It comes in brown tins and you can buy it anywhere.

I always have caffeine free diet coke. They have even recently started doing it in 500ml bottles, which is great
