Default Saturday night's all right!

Hey, all!

Just a little triumph to share with you. I was home alone on Saturday night and I had a moment where I so wanted to eat my stash of mini Reese's peanut butter cups I had in the freezer. I got them out, brought out a bowl for the wrappers, plopped myself down in front of the TV to watch a "Will and Grace" re-run, I'd opened the bag and . . . . this little voice started saying, "Don't do it, don't do it, don't do it! It's not worth it, Ann!" And I stopped myself! I couldn't believe it because usually once I'm at that point, the temptation is too much for me! I'm not a holy roller, but I really do believe it is God speaking to me when I get the will power to stop. I've asked Him for help to resist eating badly and I think this is His answer.

So, I told myself to eat my healthy dinner and if I still wanted to eat junk after an hour, I could. But come one hour, I felt strong again. This just felt so good, to really resist major temptation that I wanted to share it with all of you! It's so easy to get bucked off that horse and when you manage to stay on, it feels great!

That is wonderful! It's amazing how He answers prayer and helps us when we ask Him. I faced a similar circumstance over the weekend and simply asked myself...How bad do you want this? Meaning the weight loss, that is. And I decided I really want it and I'm going to do it this time. I'm happy for you....that's great!

That is wonderful! I too have to pray for my own well-being and for making good choices because it's too tough to handle on my own. Congrats!
