Angry Totally Depressed!!!

Had WI last night and GAINED 1.6 and really have no idea why
Drank all my water and then some, counted all my pts and was well within my pts for the week, walked 4 miles - 3 nights out of 7 and 1 other night walked about 1/2 that PUSHING DD in her wheelchair

So I think the "WEIGHT LOSS FAIRY" is punishing me for something I must have done in a previous life LOL

Hope everyone else is having a good week - next week has to get better!!

If stress causes weight gain then there is my answer as this has been a very stressful week
DH diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, worried about A/R at shop we own, busy at my FT job, DS getting runaround over his commercial business insurance as he is uner 25. so a little down in the dumps

I will PERSERVERE!!!!!

Just had to RANT!!

Thanks for listening
Cindy

Sometimes that just happens especially if you have had some really high loss weeks prior. Don't know if have or haven't.

Was this activity new or a change for you? If so many times our muscles will retain water with a new activity or change in an old routine. When you say counted all your points did you use your APs and your FPs too? If you added or changed your routine on exercise you may also need to change or add more points for your body to function properly and lose.

Stress can cause us to make poor choices in the food (ie., simple carbs vs complex ones) which can cause retention of water too.

Cindy - that happened to me once when I drank some sports water that had salt in it and I wasn't aware of the salt. The extra weight, plus 2 more pounds came off the next weigh-in. Hopefully you'll show a good loss next time!

Thanks everyone

DD was born with spina bifida so is now in a wheelchair

Yes I certainly plan to have a better week this week. I do not usually eat many of my FP's or AP's as I just don't lose when I do eat them. I had stepped up my exercise a bit this week from normal and on Tues nite when I went for my walk it was quite warm

In fact I was quite puffed up that night and noticed my rings were very tight - so it could have had something to do with that

Oh well I will get through this. It has just been such a terrible week that having a gain like that was just the corker to top off my week

Crazy week

Cindy (nice name ha ha it's mine too)
Hang in there....ranting often helps just to let off a little steam!

I can assure you what happened does not always have an explanation but if you hang in there.the chances are very HIGH that next week you will have a great loss! You have a right to feel very disappointed.......for a little while!

Pick yourself up..dust yourself off...and continue on............YOU will be fine!

It is nice to have someone to encourage..I am a Leader on a leave of absence due to surgery and I miss my members!

I will visit the WW boards more often as I feel better!

Keep smiling & Keep following the program!

Ah, Cindy- it is nice to see you throwing a bit of humor on this disappointment- This is a frustrating business we're in, isn't it? The only way I can bear it is to giggle like a maniac periodically... I'll tell you what, though- I'm proud of you for having such a good week (tracking, water, exercise and all) in spite of the commotion and stress. You're amazing! Keep it up!

Hi, gains come along with losses. all in the plan. i have started excepting them. they make me look back and work harder. so good luck. just remember what is done is done. we have to take the new meal, or new day and go for that. i try to keep this in mind and it helps so much. good luck. LaDean

1) How long did you use them to determine that you don't lose. If you did not give it a minimum of 3-4 weeks you cannot say that for sure. Sometimes especially when we have been 'diet' or 'fad dieting' or not using them it takes our body just a bit to adjust.

2) If you haven't been exercising and just started or bumped it up you just need them.

I know it is hard to give it the 100% try before saying you can't use the points cuz we don't like to see small, no or even gains which can happen during this adjustment period.

That's not much to have gained at all - its probably just waterweight. I get on the scale a lot during the day and for years I have noticed that I typically will weigh FIVE more pounds at night than I do in the mornings.

I have been on this weight loss roller coaster for many years. I have been sucessful a few times and have definately found what works best for my body

If I eat my regular 22 pts a day without adding too many extra pts on a real regualar basis. I show a fairly good loss. If I add too many extra pts or add too many carbs in my diet I do not lose as well I find if I eat too many potatos, rice, pasta, white bread then I also seem to see my weight loss slow down.
Everybodies body reacts differently to what they eat and I just have found different things that slow my weight loss .
