Good morning, ladies,

Wow, I took at minute to read all the entries after mine yesterday---I don't usually do that, but I will start. Otherwise I am missing a lot! I don't have time to do individual messages right now, but I hope the best for everyone today.

I am doing o.k. on WW still, which is good. But I have started feeling tired and down again, and I am so discouraged. I have spent the last year trying to figure out why I experience depression and fatigue and just don't feel well---I so much want to heal my mind and body. I am taking medication for depression, which I really don't like doing----I am just speaking for me here---I see a counselor, wholistic nurse-practitioner, etc. I seem to do o.k. for a little while, and then it's back to square one. I am just feeling so discouraged right now. (I have struggled with this stuff for a long time , it is just recently that I found someone who is sensitive to me and to finding a solution that really works and is healing). Thanks for listening. I see my nurse-practitioner next Thursday. She will probably suggest some changes, which is always scarey for me, too. Take care, everyone.

Kathy
Are you exercising any? Sometimes exercise as simple as walking and listening to some peppy music..increases energy and our outlook on the day.

Also.doing things for others sometimes helps...................
I dont claim to know much about depression because I dont suffer from it but have a 30 yr old daughter who does and has since she was about 14.Having a family member who suffers from depression certainly "sheds some light" on it...believe me..it really does.

I remember once we were paying big $$ for couseling and they told her to WALK! So seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..................I am not the only one who suggests it!

Thank you, Cin. I do normally exercise quite a bit. But lately I have been feeling so tired that it has really taken a huge effort. And I am usually very active. Makes me wonder if it is my thyroid or something else??? But thank you so much. I had actually decided to take the dog out for a long walk today. Take care.

Guess what? After advising you.I bundled up and put on some oldie goldie music and took a hike myself!

Thyroid ( as Cathy will tell you) can contribute to depression and being tired!I have a slow thyroid and take a low dose of Syntroid daily.have for a couple years now.

Sometimes I listen to Praise and Worship music too.especially when working around the house!

Hi Ladies
I'ts a warm fuzzy world. . .aka the screw came out of my glasses
New Project isn't as bad so far as I thought but the manager not so hot on coming through with cogent info Luckily my coworkers are fillign in the gap
CIN! Thank you so much for the extra info I think i'm not having enough veggies and relying a bit too much on the good carbs
one thing i noticed. . .When I have a BIG coffee today's was at least 20 oz I don't crave as much and while i know thats not good It beats the sugar jones i had yesterday!
I need to have upbeat music on when I'm doing something physical Oldies work! I love disco lol Donna summer!
Kathy It's hard to get motivated to move when you're pooped out all time time I get that when my fibro gets bad sometimes i like to just lose myself in the motion and clear my head.
Liz! have a tiki drink in Cancun for me!
Cathy hope you're day is going well

Hello Everyone.
It feels like forever since I last posted. I moved on the 1st of February and still do not have internet at my new place. I got lucky today and am at my husbands house and got a chance to jump on his computer. All I need now is a modem and I will have internet.

I miss everyone and I miss getting on the computer in the morning to post or coming home at night to see what's going on. Things are semi ok here. HAving some really depressing days here right now and I am trying my best to get threw them.

As for my diet. I went off it sorta. Still eating ok but stopped exercising for awhile. I really need to get back into it again. I reached my Valentine's goal and have maintained it. I am at 139 lb right now and trying to get back into a routine again. My moods have been up and down so I have to fix that.

Well I have to run. Hope everything is goig good with everyone.

/hugs
Stephanie

Stephanie!!!! Welcome back chick, good to see you. Hope you get your PC up soon. Good to see your doing well with dieting and the WL. Bravo!!!! Hope your feeling better soon.

Cathy, your doing so well w/your exercise, you have to be pretty darn proud of yourself. You go girl. Keeping busy can be a good thing... No?

Liz, you lucky duck, have fun !!!

Cin, exercise helps ALOT! good for you for getting your walking shoes on and getting out there. Today if feels like 0 below. The wind is so strong it cuts you in half (being cold that is).

Kathy, I agree changes are scary. I'm going to a new Dr. tomorrow, gosh, another one I have to spill my guts out to. I'm not looking forward to it but I am in a way. Strange I know. Hang in there toots!! Some times I say to myself, I'm so tired of trying to figure things out, HERE YOU DO IT!!! and send me the bill when your done LOL. Seriously, I feel the more thought I try to put into it, the more depressed I get b/c I can't figure it out. Heck I don't even know what I'm looking for. Maybe our doctors can help? Smile

Back to work (hanging head)

Hiya Hiya.....(I took 1/2 a day off from work today to DE-STRESS and exercise, boydoesithelp!) I am re-focused instead of cross-eyed and there is no big pile of hair on my office rug.

TDKathy:

Anit-depressants did not agree with me, I tried for over 8 mos., all I got out of them was weight gaining and a true passion for Haagen Daz. I've been under drs. care for both reactive and clinical depression for the last 2 years and finally feel like i'm coming out of the black hole....Exercise always makes me feel better and in control, i should remember this and keep it as my mantra.

Leenie, my internist just prescribed Meridia to help me make the scale move (10 mg. QD to start). Today is my second day....I'm eating normally just not terribly interested in sugar or where my next feeding is coming from......2 egg whites w/ fresh baby spinach/mushroom/ffree cheese for breakfast and one turkey breakfast sausage......45 mins. of hard cardio and wts, and a multi-veggie salad and 6 pita chips for lunch. I brought some veggie soup, but don't want it. I also seem to have lost the desire for sweets???

What I do notice, is that maybe the Meridia perks me up??? I've had some very difficult family issues plaguing me, but my mood is much improved ....who knows, we'll see when I step on the scale on Saturday.....

Hey KO, I will refer to you as Ms. Lady Knight.....
BBL.

Hello Ladies…

Shhh… I’m in class right now… gotta love having wireless access *grins*

Tdkathy – sometimes I get the same feeling at times… it took a while for me to break out of that tho… Although, I’m still getting this exhausted feeling which I have tried taking a multivitamin for in hopes that it would help me… not sure, I’m still feeling tired, so I have an idea where you are coming from… at least I think I do… *big hugz* Let me know what your nurse says when you go for your appt.

CIN – I experience the same thing as tdkathy and still feel exhausted through out the day… course being gone 8am to 7pm doesn’t help, but even on the weekends I drag at times. I took a test for Thyroid cost a pretty penny to since I did not have medical coverage. It was supposedly normal. Ive tried…keyword TRIED… to get more sleep. I’m only sleeping about 5 hours a day because of being gone such long hours and then having to deal with homework… I must stop doing that! Im such a procrastinator!

Stephanie – Hello! Good to see you again. I have been here on and off, but haven’t been doing to well on my diet. Although I have maintained… well wait, I gained a pound back, but I know it’s hard to get back into things and continue with it. At least you came back and are trying! I’m trying to find my edge too.. it’s hard with all the stuff that’s been going on lately for me. I hope you are able to find your groove and get back into things.

Marble – what do you do to de-stress? I could use some advice I tend to play the DDR with my step daughter it’s pretty fun! Kid enjoys it too… she likes to laugh at me and all the funny noises I make when I do it

Well Ladies… I must get back to my lecture… no matter how boring it is… ICK!

Be back later…
Sue…
