Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How is everyone doing? It is cold here today. 33. Brandon, Bruce and a friend of Brandon's is going to see The Rolling Stones in IMAX. I can't imagine seeing them that big.
I can't believe it is Valentines day on Monday. Any plans?
Terri, I'm doing good. I'm off tomorrow so I will be going to the mall to do a little shopping. I have to buy Pete & my niece a birthday gift. I'm not doing anything for Valentine's Day. I work & he works How about you? Valentine's Day was never a big deal for us. So much for romance huh.
The past few weeks have been very stressful & sad for us at work. 2 women lost their father's then the lay offs. Depressing. I have to try & cheer up. I should be thanking God that I still have a job. I'm going to have to take on alot more responsibilities & I have to give up my flex time.
I have been so off program it's pathetic. Our WW at Work program is over in 2 weeks. A few members asked me if we're rolling over & if we are they want another leader. I'm not doing it again. What's the point? I haven't been following it. In a way it's embarrassing cause I started the whole thing & haven't lost. What I did lose I gained back.
I better sign off cause I'm too whiney today. Sorry.
Es,
It is ok to "whine". We all do it. It is our right as women. It will click one day.
I am glad you still have your job. We are here for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terri
Thanks Terri. The leader had to kick out 2 members. They're losing too much. Never in my life have I lost too much. Today will be a better day. I like going to the mall on a weekday. Less of a crowd. What ever happened to Myra?
To much weight? How much did they lose? Never heard of anyone being kicked out of ww.
Myra found out she has sugar and therefore quit WW. She was very serious about everything and wasn't happy with posts that were Off topic. That was in my yahoo groups anyway.
Terri, the 2 members reached WW goal but are continuing to lose because the want to lose more. The leader warned them that if they kept losing they will be labeled as anorexic. They do look sickly. I know one of them isn't following the program.
Today we're celebrating Pete's birthday. David & his girl, my nephew with his wife & kids & my sister will be here by 5:00. I have to run out & pick up the cake. Another challenging day
Es,
Happy Birthday to Pete!
We're still attempting to recruit a minimum of 15 to begin WW at Work
There are enough people who could join....
Terri,
We'll be home for Valentine's Day. I usually make spaghetti for that day's dinner; we always stay home, usually just exchange cards, and Joe gives me flowers.
Joe's birthday was Thursday. We spent a quiet evening at home. I gave him a new sleeping bag and 3-person dome tent, along with some shirts. Our camping gear is OLD and for fishing trips he doesn't need a two room tent that sleeps 10!
Tonight we're going to Medieval Times with Joey and Iliana...I've never been there, but have been curious to see what it's like.
Just a quick hello before I'm off and running on the weekend. Es, the weight will come off. What matters is you are still making an attempt. Giving up completely would be bad. NOt giving up means you still have hope and without hope where would we be???? Must be nice to have the ability to lose the weight those girls are doing. So if you have cake for the birthday then be good the rest of the day. Don 't get into the thinking that if you mess up you can keep it up. Eat veggies the rest of the day.
Jen,
Wish I got flowers!!! I might get a "Happy Valentines Day" and a longer kiss as we rush through the night with the kids. My mom did use to tell me that these were the best days of her life, when we were all at home and involved, but sometimes I have difficulty believing her. Oh for one day that I can do what I want.
Well, off and running!! Everyone take care over the weekend and enjoy.
Es, I know you and the one thing I know is that you never give up, so I'm not worried about you amiga Don't forget there's been a lot of stress in your life right now with your job and that could be a big factor in the whole staying on program issue. I hope things calm down at work soon. So sad about the people who lost their father's and then their jobs. We sure do have to count our blessings don't we? to Pete Hope you have a great celebration!
Terri - How did your guys enjoy The Rolling Stones? I guess Mick's lips must really have looked big on IMAX Wow, Myra, a blast from the past. I too, remember her to be a very serious person when she was in this group. Hope she's doing okay.
Jen - to Joe and hope you guys enjoy the Medival Times. Isn't that where you eat with your hands? Sounds like fun!
Susan - I remember those days of constant running and doing with and for the kids - phew! I get tired thinking about it, It does get better though, so you have something to look forward to.
Well, I've lost willie for the weekend His musical buddies are in from P.R. - La Sonora Poncena. When they come in, he goe's MIA I don't mind, I like having some time alone. Plus today I really have to clean up this house. Willie's been painting the kitchen all week (and I do mean all week) so its really a mess in there. Looks like a war zone!
As far as Valentine's Day is concerned, we usually go out to dinner. At his point in our partnership (26 years), we usually give each other practical things. Like willie told me yesterday, if you get me a Valentine's Day gift, I need new dungarees - very romantic huh? I told him to get me a gift certificate to bath & body works - I have a brand new glazed tub and I won't take a bath until I have some bubble bath - don't get scared I WILL shower I want to put candles around the tub and take a nice bubble bath - I'm looking forward to it.
So once I clean up this place, I have to stop by Lisa's briefly cause today's Alissa's (Jessa's sister) 10th birthday and I want to drop off her present. She's having an all girl birthday party/sleepover and I don't want to get involved in that After that, I'm free for the night and I'll probably exercise and watch tv and fall asleep on the couch. My idea of a great evening
Tomorrow's wi for me and I think I'll do better this week. I was pretty much on track and I exercised 3 times and I plan on exercising twice today. So, hopefully, I'll get that 1 lb. back off.
Jen, I LOVE MEDIEVIL TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We went all the time in Orlando when we lived there. You eat with your hands.
It is medievil afterall. ENJOY. I was always with the blue knight.
Tell Joe HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!
Es,
Happy Birthday to Pete. Enjoy yourself tonight.
I am glad to see WW isn't just in it for the money all the time.
Dianne,
The Rolling Stones IMAX was fun. My son, the guitar player, loves AC/DC, Pink Floyd, anything with a guitar. He loves Country too.
We are going out for a romantic dinner Sunday night for V. Day because I don't like to stray off the program on the weekdays. I will eat within flex points but there will be a lot of sodium involved.
Enjoy your time alone. That is great that Willy has this with his friends.
Susan,
Enjoy that kiss. Maybe you could do what I do. Bruce, for Mother's Day and a day in the Fall, gets me a motel room for the night. Usually Saturday. Sometimes a whole weekend if he gets a deal. A Residence in with a kitchen is very reasonable. They were my gift.
I'd go to the store for drink and food and I was all set. I read, watched TV and RELAXED. It was so nice when the three kids were little. I looked so forward to that.
I lost 1.6 pounds this week. It was the first time back for this month.
Have a great weekend. My middle son is having a friend spend the night.
TTYL,
Terri
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Yesterday turned out very nice. I made boneless skinless chicken thighs, in the oven, yellow rice, beans & corn. Everybody enjoyed it & THE CAKE. It was chocolate & I do love chocolate.
Terri, what is the Miedievil Times? WTG with your loss.
Dianne, mi amiga, you always make me laugh. I love Bath & Body Works. Candles all around the tub sounds nice. I should try that sometime. I hope Willie had a nice time with his buddies. Good luck on your WI.
Susan, sounds like you need a day of R & R. Yesterday I had an 8 yr. old & a 2 yr. old. I love them to death but it's nice & quiet when they go home.
Jen, Happy Belated Birthday to Joe. That's nice that you get flowers. I never get flowers. I get scratch offs but the cards he picks out are always beautiful. WW at Work is so convenient. I don't know if we'll be rolling over again. I don't think this time we'll have enough people.
I have to go see my niece/goddaughter later. She's 17 today. I can't deal with anymore cake. I'll pass if they offer.
I lost 3 lbs. this week! I'm such a happy camper I knew I did better this week and was just hoping to get that one lb. off from last week. My total to date is 10.6 lbs. Since tomorrow ends our Valentine's Day challenge, is anyone up for a St. Paddy's Day challenge?
Can't stay, gotta run. Hi Es, Jen, Sandy, Terri, Ruthie, Susan, Shawn (where are ya Shawn?) and all our MIA's. Hope everyone has a great day.
Talk to you's tomorrow, my friends.
Hugs,
Dianne
