BarbPa - Big big hugs , I hope everything works out and you and your family stay strong.
I'm still trying to get myself to wake up at a normal time. I was wakeing up at 7-9am but now it's so hard to get myself out of bed before 10am. I'm still wanting to do a morning workout but its so hard to get up! I don't know why. I have two alarms - a wakeup call and my regular alarm clock, and it makes no difference. I've been having such a hard time getting more than 15 minutes of my video in too I think I might be sick.
But starting today I'm going to fix my eating. I read somewhere that a lady who was successful in weightloss ate a big breakfast and a big lunch, and small light dinner - always before 8pm. I like this idea because Dinner always feels like its weighing me down, and that way your biggest meals get burned off sooner. I'm going to try it and see how it works out.
*hugs* I hope all of you are well and staying on track, Much love
Good morning Marcie and CD.
I guess everyone is busy driving Cross Country.
I had a HARD day yesterday staying on program... but I DID IT
We went to this hamberger joint for dinner and I WANTED this big ole Sausage/Hamberget sandwich which is their specialty... and a BIG OLE homemade rootbeer. I REALLY WANTED IT BAD !!!!!
But I got a damn grilled chicken salad instead. ugh
And it was itty bitty taboot.
I was really feeling sorry for myself.
BUT.... I did it. All for a stupid little CAR.
CD. I have my biggest meal at lunch. I started doing this a few years ago, after we retired. I find that I rest better at night by eating very light. This might not work for everyone, but it does for me. I don't have a big b'fast though. As for getting up early...wish that I could sleep late.
Hilta, I think I have that book for dummies somewhere around here, but it might as well be greek. My gradson knows more about these computers than I do and he is young!
Marcie, without your help I was lost. I am not sure my tracker is right yet, but close.
BarbPa, I was so sorry to hear about your Mothers passing, please know that prayers are being said for you and family.
I am having a good OP day and need to go drink some more water so that I can run to the bathroom all afternoon. I feel that I spend more time in there than anywhere else lately. I have thought of just moving the tv in there and getting my pillow to prop up on and STAY PUT!
2cute, you and I were posting at the same time.. I had to chuckle when I read your post. Thanks for the laugh. I know just how you feel, But you won a victory didn't you? And a car!! LOL! Iwillbe
WTG, 2cute! Well done! Sorry it felt like deprivation, though. You were GOOD to yourself. Really!
CD, I'm a non-getter-up too. I have no clue how to fix that. I've tried self-medicating with a ton of caffeine, and I know you're into being healthy, so that probably wouldn't appeal to you. And it only works sometimes.
I was OP yesterday... this seems to be getting easier, although I'm not feeling like I'm getting a whole lot of other things done.
Good afternoon to all. Its sunny here in OHIO Sun always makes
you feel much better. Helps with those winter BLAHS
BARBPA- I am also very sorry to hear about you Mom. My thoughts
and prayers go out to you and yours.
2cute - Good going! I don't know if I would have the willpower. I'm
proud of you, and just think another car. Follow your plan your
goal gets closer every day that way.
Grannie- Hope the sun shines for you real soon it does make you
feel more energetic.
Iwillbe- I know what you mean about Grandkids. My oldest is 20,
when he was small he was a whiz at the computer games.
CD-I also try to have my biggest meal at lunch. I believe
it helps a lot.
therubyslipper-angela_aka_alice-and to all others I've missed -earn your
cars-Stay OP- and will check in later
2cute - congrats on staying OP! I blooped a bit today.. my roomie begged ( ) me to go to Steak N' Shake and I agreed after much contemplation. I got my usual - which is the Spicey Chicken platter, chili and cottage cheeze on the side. I didn't finish everything (tryign to get used to only eating what I really want!) but I did have shake So yay for your willpower! Maybe I should try to have the same
IWillBe - be glad that you get up early. I hate it, I hate sleeping past 7-8am. I would really much rather have a reason to get up and have a full productive day than to know deep down I have no reason and have the hardest time getting up. Before all my school troubles my job was at 8:30am and I'd get up at 6:30 and get there at 7:15 just because I really loved being awake in the morning, but I had a reason to be awake. Trust me, early bird enjoys the day much more Angela - you are right Caffeine is one of my favorite hate relationships. I never have anything with caffeine (except for an occasional mocha, but even that is down to maybe once a year) because it's just one of those "if I can keep some kind of unhealthy thing out of my body, then why not?". I have the same relationship with butter, grease, most meats, and most sweets. I guess its my way of feeling "power". I gotta figure out some natural healthy ways to spurt my energy I'm sure if I could just muster up the energy to open my blinds and let the sun shine in I'd be fine
Hilta - thanks I think I'll definitely try it. I guess I've always been used to living in a household where no one was home till late afternoon, and my mom would always make a huge dinner for everyone to feast on. I guess it was the only "family" thing we did, and even now I guess I've always viewed dinner as the relaxing end of the day "big meal". I'm definitely going to try to change it.
My tummy is a-full, but I'm trying to pump all my water in! I finally had yummy oatmeal for breakfast this morning, so I'm one step closer to achieving my weekly goals (eat a healthy breakfast, big lunch, light dinner). I'm thinking I'll have a slimfast, salad, or small small bowl of noodles for dinner.
Hope you all have a great day! I'm about to go write some documents to help me with motivation
I am back from Florida and now I am back to work! Florida was nice, but I gained 14 pounds (or so my scale says)!!!!!!!!!! I don't think that I really gained that much, but you never know.
I have been going to Bally's everyday now, which is good, but my eating stinks. It seems that when I exercise, I want to eat more and more.
I am also drinking my water, so at least 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
2Cute: Thanks for sending the challenge my way. I am putting on my cars for the water and exercise.
Thin: Lovely seeing you again on Monday (I am talking in my uppitty English person's voice). You are truly a remarkable woman and friend.
BarbPA: You and your family are in my prayers!
CD: Good job on the water intake. BTW-your meal at steak and shake sounded really good.
Angela – I have to agree with you… Doritos are a bad study partner! I try not to stay up late… because that’s when the cravings come. I do try to keep healthy stuff in my house, but it’s hard. Now that my sister is living with me (since beginning of January) she’s been bringing all sorts of stuff in. No matter what I tell her. She says… just don’t eat it. That’s like leading a thirsty horse to water and telling him don’t drink. DUH! Well so I ate her Doritos… I just gotta be more careful…
Hippychick – I have clothing that I saved from like the 80’s that are like size 8 and 10 that my sisters used to wear. I can throw away the bigger clothing, but having a hard time throwing away the smaller stuff. Funny huh? I always think one day I’ll fit into these clothes.
Terri (Determined) – You know, I copied the roll call, but I forgot to put my name at the end… DUH! I will re-copy the roll call and add my name this time About the zigzag / wendie thing… that’s exactly what I heard, that it keeps your body from thinking it’s starving because one day you eat below average and another day you eat above, however in the end it all comes out to the same amount.
IWillBe - I dunno if anyone has answered your question about the tracker, but when you go to edit your signature, look for the are where you put the track info and you’ll see numbers… like this /378/200/359 the numbers are your starting weight, goal weight and current weight… unless you did a count down of how many pound you want to loose. All you gotta do is look in your signature area where you copied the code and change the numbers. It’s hard to really tell you what to look for without actually looking at your account.
BarbPA – Thank you for sharing and updating us about your family and yourself. You are in my thoughts and prayers! I am sorry for your loss *great big hugz*
I’ve gotten behind by 2 threads… so many people posting! Great to hear and see everyone!
I’m afraid I’ve lost track of the roll call. I think this is the most updated one. If it’s not please for give me…

Lots of teachers here nice to hear/read that. I’m working towards my degree right now. I have a degree in Computer Graphics, however when I got laid off I figured I would go back to school and work towards a teaching degree and teach it maybe at the college level. However, I kinda want to work with deaf children. I volunteered at the school for the deaf for a year out here. I love the culture and I love the language.
It’s gonna be a looooong week… and it’s already half over… UGG! I am thinking about looking for another job. I would much rather work at an elementary than this middle school… man! Grrr! Grumble! Ahhh! Okie I feel better hehehe…
I haven’t been exercising like I should be… I gained a pound back. I’m gonna try to get myself exercising a bit more… just gotta kick my but and get myself in gear. Its been hard lately, specially with classes going again.
Checking in to say hi and be accountable. it has been a difficult couple of days with lots of eating out.
but doing sort of o.k., and better at jounaling and drinking water.
I have a second WI at curves tomorrow as part of the Weight loss class.
I had disturbing news from my granddaughter yesterday, she is in her 24th week of her first pregnancy and shows signs of going into labor, with thinning cervix and the nurse said she was having contractions. so she is on bedrest and steroid shots to help the baby's lungs develop. dgd is in the USAF and stationed in NC.
