Default Welll since you ask.....

Good Morning Leens
Since you ask............no plans because of the Pink eye.I had to UNinvite my Sunday Dinner guests.figured they would apreciate it in the long runnnnnnnnn

I am sitting here drinking my WWSmoothie.just finished my WATP tape.forgot how much I really love Leslie the best out of my assortment of tapes...she is just sorta non-threatening or something!

I am meeting my youngest daughter to go to Bed,Bath & Beyond to jointly buy a nice shower gift for an upcoming wedding shower.......a very "fancy one ".......the wedding will take place in Illinois in April with 10 attendants! Should be something else!We are planning on making the trip for this one!
The bride-to-be is 42 and finally found the right man!We are delighted for her too!She is a treasure! Daughter & I will also use it as the perfect reason to have a NICE LUNCH OUT ! By the way.........daughter joined WW this week and lost 5.8 her first week! Perhaps she can safely eat with me.ha ha ha! I am so proud of her.....she is 27 now and finally getting her life back together after a brief marriage that she thought was sooo right....she has a new boyfriend we like real well.

Hopefully a nice.....no rush weekend!

good morning gang!

cin - I sure would appreciate someone UNinviting me if they had pink eye! I'm sure they understand. Good for you getting in a workout! Yea don't ya just love Leslie's stuff! Last night dh took me out to eat. It was so nice! we shared a small ceasar salad and I had 2 slices of the best pizza I have ever had. yum! then we went to Walmart for a few things we needed - wheat bread and fruit - and dh said "what can I buy ya?" and I said "uhmmmm I think I want some gloves for weights for the gym" and we walked back to the exercise stuff and got them. Right next to them was some exercise dvd's and there was a new Leslie Sansone - Walk and Jog. Dh said "don't you like her?" and I said "yea - I love her stuff" and he got me that too! hehe I can't wait to try it out.

But I have got to clean house today so that will have to be my exercise. When I walk around for hours cleaning I cannot seem to get in a walking tape too. I put on my pedometer for the day so that I can see how many steps I take while cleaning. I figure it's about a million but we will see!

Cin - have fun today! sounds like fun! and hooray for your daughter! wow that's an awesome first week weightloss!

Leenie - it's good to see ya girlie! It's gonna take awhile to read all those posts! what ya doing today?

back later...hugs,
cathy

Afternoon peoples..
I blew it big time today. I went to my mom's and my dear brother had some summer sausage. That stuff is evil. I'm sure I went way over my points for the day....and kicking myself for it.

I'm like on this "lack of motivation" streak. I just don't feel like I'm making a difference...so I'm sabotaging my program and eating all the no-nos and not exercising. How do you get over a hump like that? I know what I should be doing and I'm not. I hate myself for it. I'll be kicking myself for awhile but will pull up my boots straps and get on with it again. I have been just soo frustrated with my lack of progress over the months. I've been at 201 since Oct.

Enough venting....I gotta check my emails and get some more laundry into the washer. My life...kids, laundry...cleaning.

hey liz - ya know me - I always have suggestions. LOL

you know I love the Leslie Sansone stuff - I like the Walk Away the Pounds and the Walk Away the Pounds Express videos best - either the 2 or 3 mile ones. In these videos they either use the weighted balls or stretchie bands - I just use my 2 or 3 lb free weights in the same way and it works great. I also love the 4 mile Walk Away the Pounds Express but it takes 60 minutes to do it.

I think I'm gonna like the new Walk and Jog that I just got it, but i haven't tried it yet. will let you know.

Be sure to let us know what you get and how ya like it.

hugs,
cathy

hey chris - I know where you are coming from girlie!
but ya said that you have been 201 since Oct - that means that you didn't gain during the holidays - do you know how many people can say that? not many! and I notice on your ticker tape that you started out at 223 - so you have lost 22 lbs and that is awesome! the good news is you haven't been at 223 since Oct, but at 201 - now doesn't that sound better! You will regain your motivation! I just know you will!
hugs,
cathy

Good Morning

So they say we're gonna get 3" of snow tonight (almost typed snot )

Glad to see everyone is doing well. Cin, feel better and I hope your day w/your daughter was a good one. Tell her WTG!!! on the WL.

Cathy sounds like a good trip to walmart, if DH asked me what I wanted, I think the exercise isle is the last place I would go

Chris, motivation is a tought thing, for me that is. I can stay motivated for a week then poof ! gone for weeks. Especially this time of year, when SAD sets in all I wanna do is lay in bed and sleep. Is there something or some where that you'll be going to, like a vacation, or a party, something that might help you get movin ? Just keep trying Chris, don't give up!! How about posting picture of you near the tv or refrig, places that would help you either stop eating or to help you exercise.

You know what's a good motivator. Put a full length mirror in your living room or kitchen. When your on the couch you'll be looking at yourself or in the kitchen.

Liz good to see you and keep up the good work w/incorporating exercise in.

Yesterday was a nice day, I ate well and exercised, today will be the same

DD is sick and kept me up alot last night so I'm very tired right now lolol.

I plan on cooking some rice, pork chops and chicken for the week, also some fish.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I'll try to get in here more during the week.

Good morning everyone.....it is getting milder where I live in B.C......just -20C this morning.....it was snowing earlier today.

I am doing well with eating this weekend.

Have any of you had this problem.....my DH wanted to out for Chinese food tonight....it's the worst place one can eat....when trying to make lifestyle changes. I told him I would....I looked it up in the WW data base....what I can eat.....wrote down about 8 things.....today he said forget it.....he said it would be no fun if I had to concentrate on portion size.....in a way I am a bit relieved.....as far as I am concerned....going out for Chinese food or going to the A & W are the worst places for me to go.....they are both really high in fat.
Maybe he thinks he is losing an eating buddy....sometimes we make our own thing for dinner....because he won't eat what I am making.

I am feeling more positive about everything.....so I don't to go back to the old way of eating.

Hi Gals.......
April...Good for you! I am glad you "stuck to your guns"...you did EXACTLY the right thing.....................I am sure your DH is not trying to undo anything for you but you could be right on the "losing his eating buddy" thing................PLEASE dont give it much more thought.so many times we ALLOW the least little" push" to bump us off track and then we jump the track! I am sure in the long run he will be a much happier man when you are happier and feel good about yourself! At WWers we call that the "change back mentality"...in other words we "cave in sometimes" cause our families really want us to "change back" to the old eating habits...again I dont think they even realize what they are doing.

Chrily.the motivation will come back when you want weight loss MORE than anything else!

I am wanting to reduce my waist size and improve my overall BMI because of health risk associated with a higher BMI. I still battle hi LDL & borderline Trygl. and am trying to lower on my own without meds. I am reading a lot about the benefits weight loss (even a little) has on your over all health..even 5 per cent...it is motivating me a lot...................just one more note* Being a Free Lifetime mbr of WWers and a Leader and at goal still takes daily choices and a necessary amout of "wanting" to stay healthy and keep it off.it still takes good choices more than poor choices.........nothing magical happens when you get there...........but it does become more "second nature" and I learned a whole lot and continue to learn through my MISTAKES just as anyone else.I just dont beat myself up anymore!
We all have what it takes! Honestly we do.it isnt willpower it is commitment!

Thanks for listening to me!
Be happy.
Make wise choices............
and Move it!

Cin.....thanks....yes sometimes it is easier to just give in & go back to the old eating habits....like pigging out on Chinese food.

Some of the WW food DH will eat.....don't know if you saw the recipe for the cranberriy muffins on the WW site....well....DH loves those....the last time I made those....I had to make 24 of them. I make these banana oat muffins....it was a regular recipe that I fixed.....DH won't touch those....it has a little sugar in them....but he saw me put in the pourable Equal in them....he won't touch them....they are really good....they have chopped walnuts & mini chocolate chips in them.

Hi all...
Been busy all day. I had to go to my nephew's dedication at church this morning and then my sister had a brunch. After that I came home and have been helping dh paint the livingroom and kitchen. It looks so cool. I was entirely sick of the white walls. Now they are a pretty beige color. We are redoing the family room too. Finishing up the fireplace, painting the walls and getting new furniture. We're going to get new carpet too. My aunt owns a carpet store so we have to get her to come measure it and then we can pick out what we want. We both like this shaggy kind of MOHAWK carpet. It looks so cool and it's fun to run your toes through.
Anyhow, I'm taking a break... I an feel the ache starting in my wrist and shoulder joints. I'll be taking my Bextra tonight for sure.
OKay....I'm getting back on track! I just get some of those little "down" days. I was kind of relieved that even though I've been slacking this week, I haven't really gained any extra pounds. Halleluah!

Okay...back to helping. DH is mudding the walls so I guess I better help him with that.
