Question LWL: Need your expert advice!

Don't know if you'll remember me, it's been a while.

So I am now recovered from whiplash after a car accident and have been back to the gym. How do you ladies deal with the post-workout muscle soreness?

I did biceps/triceps on Tuesday evening. I still can't straighten my arms without yelping! I am lifting a reasonable amount...2-3 sets to failure on the 12th rep. I don't get sore until the following day, but here it is two days later and my arms feel like they were beaten with a baseball bat.

Should I back off on the weight? Any advice for dealing with the soreness?

Thanks!

L-glutamine! There is a whole thread further down on this. Sorry I can't type well today since I'm flat on my back, but if you scroll down you'll find it. Also, the soreness will lessen as you get more back into using your muscles

I second Mel. A nice hot bath (maybe with some Calgon in it - and a good book!) or better yet, a Jacuzzi wouldn't hurt either IMO!
