Default Monday Chat 8/23

Well, it's Monday and I'm back on induction. Almost went into a tizzy because I didn't think we had any eggs for me to have for breakfast Luckily we had a dozen in the fridge in the garage.
Hope you all have a good day (for a Monday that is)!!

Morning Brenda: Good luck starting fresh today. You can do it I know you can. Don't beat yourself up so much. When you slip just get back on....that's all we can do.

Nothing much going on with me today.......kind of tired......haven't been feeling quite right lately.
Was down the weight I gained on Saturday but then I went to the pool party and ate bread!!!! Yes, bread with Brie a major weakness for me. Then after we left there another couple and us went for a quick bite of chinese! Oye....
Well no worries....it will come off this week. I really need to get back to some exercise but I just feel like crap lately and don't have the energy.
I think I may make an appt with the doc.

Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning Everyone!

Brenda: Good Luck getting back on induction! I know you can do it!!!

Jane: Hope that you feel better soon! Glad that you had fun at the pool party!

Well, I feel so rested and refreshed today. Me and DH went down to the beach late Saturday night. Luckily there was no damage at our place or at the in-laws from the hurricane. Yesterday, we slept in, and got up and went fro breakfast. Came back and was lazy the rest of the day. Didn't do anything to amount to anything yesterday and it felt Great! Think we both finaly got caught up on some rest! Also, I haven't been sick since Friday. I quit the vitamins on Friday, and evidently that was the problem. Now I just have to really watch what I eat, or I will be putting on the weight like crazy. Well, gonna go find something for breakfast. Hope everyone has a great day and I'll check in a little later!

Happy Monday ladies!!

B- glad to see your back in full swing! You can do this, you have before.

Jane- Oh well who cares about 1 meal, just jump back on and you are right it will come off this week.

Well I actually had a whole week in which I was OP last week and I did food log all week long too, even on the weekend, so am I feeling pretty darn good about that!!! I am also totally jazzed about my 7 pound loss for the week even though it was probably mostly water but I dont' care!! The family who took Toad called to say they love him and they want to keep him, so that is good too, I have to admit it is great not to have a puppy around the house, even though I miss him and our other dogs are feeling alot better and getting back to normal. (the chickens are feeling better too, they have been in hiding cause the last week Toad was here he fancied trying to jump their fence to eat them, doesn't make for good egg production so I had to buy eggs at the store!)

well anyhwooooo, Happy MOnday ladies it is the start of a NEW week!!

Love TG

Brenda: I'm right there with you -- I can't keep eating the way I did this weekend!

Jane: Hope your doctor can figure something out. How were the berries and cream?

Lisa: I'm glad you had such a relaxing weekend -- you needed it! Also, I'm glad you're feeling so much better.

TG: Great job!! Way to stay OP! Congrats on losing seven pounds!!

Leenie:

Well, this weekend turned into an eating disaster. Friday, it was late-night Taco Bell... argh! I had been dying to try one of those Crunch Wrap Supremes, so foolishly I ordered it and ate all of it. Saturday was actually an OP day. It wasn't the best day because it included six Michelob Ultras, but I didn't "eat" anything off-plan. Then, Sunday included a piece (or two) of carrot cake and some potato chips (I don't even like chips..???). I get so mad at myself because I work hard all week, and then blow it on the weekends. I feel like all my exercising is a waste! I know it's not, but I've got to start eating right to go along with it.

Anyway, I've got to be stricter with myself this week. I need to have the strength I had when I started this WOE. So, this week will include lots of veggies and lots of OP-induction-type foods (hopefully).

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Take care,
Jina

Hi guys! Sounds like everyone is doing well for a Monday!

Congratulations T.G. on staying OP for a whole week! I made it too! Last Monday I was up to 188, and this a.m. I'm down to 183.

About a month ago, I was at 176, but I figured if I'm starting fresh I need to be honest with myself about my weight. So, I changed my signature, and I am determined to get back down into the 170's within a month at least.

Jane, I wouldn't worry about one night of bad eating. You've done so well!

Lisa, I'm glad the change in vitamins helped. I'm very sensitive to even regular vitamins, and I definitely remember the big prenatal ones. Nothing worse than feeling nautious all day!

Have a great day all!

Good morning!

Brenda - Welcome back on plan! You can do this! You just have to figure out what you want more - being slim and healthy or a piece of cake?

Jane - I love brie! But I've learned to eat it on it's own or on thin slices of granny smith apple. Yummy

Mrs H - Glad the sickness mystery has been solved!

TG - I am so dang proud of you! I miss seeing that dramatic loss Sounds like Toad has a home - that's great! Yup - I went to the garlic festival. More on that in a bit.

Leenie -

Jina - The weekends are tough! You'll get back into it.

My weekend has been interesting and kindof sad. Friday, DH and I went to see the new Exorcist movie. It was pretty good! Then karaoke at the bar that night.

Saturday was the gun show, then the garlic festival. We didn't stay long because I was really lightheaded and dizzy for most of the day. I did take a little sample of the garlic ice cream (you just have to!) and a sip of garlic lemonade and then a sample of garlic chips (garlic sliced and deep-fried). The only 'bad' I did was the pint of Garlic-weizen that I had. But yummy!

Saturday night was the going away party for my 'Puppy'. He's the sweetest, most adorable guy you could ever want. I'm freakishly attached to him. Well, Puppy just got out of boot camp and is leaving today to head over to the sand box. I'm so sad! I've got other friends over there, but it's just not the same. He and I had us a good cry on Saturday night that, thankfully, he was too drunk to remember. I saw him and his mom yesterday and was able to keep my smiley face on until I was alone. I already miss him so much!

Yesterday was cleaning (I'm sore from mopping!), shopping, reading, and my brief farewell to Puppy. Don't be surprised if you start hearing a lot about him!

Now for the good news: I HAVE BUDGED!!!! I was starting to wonder if I would before the end of 2004, but there it is! I am now 128!!! I haven't been weighing myself very much lately, but when I went shopping yesterday, I noticed that the 5's were all fitting and some were too big. I didn't dare try any 3's, but I thought that the new fit was interesting so I weighed myself this morning and voila! The 8 week stall seems to be over!

Have a great day everyone!

Star!!! Congrats on finally getting over the stall! Maybe I will be next! I know you are sad about your friend.....I hope he stays safe. I had a friend over there and when he came home I sent him a card and thanked him for helping keep our country safe. Same to your friend

LOVE2C135: Not worried. In fact I am being so good today it is scarey!

Jina: Sounds like we had the same kind of weekend! You'll do fine this week.
Weekends kill me too.

Well I just had a NS victory....I had to go to the mall at lunch to pick up some stuff. It isn't a big mall but I had to walk from one end to the other and on my way back I decided because it was so nice out today that I would walk outside instead of going back through the mall. Well, as I was about to head for the door I saw it! Papa Gino's. Yes that's right....pizza. Now because I am feeling a little down today it would have been so like me to walk in and grab a slice. But...........I kept on a walkin!
Yeah for me

Jane: Congrats on walking past the pizza place!! Bet you feel great about that--as well you should!! Keep up the good work! OMG LC onion rings??? I gotta check that out!! I've been hungry for onion rings!

Star: Sorry to hear about your friend. My 2nd cousin is over there. I sent him a card cuz he gets lonely. He passed up his leave of absense right now so another guy could come home to visit his wife!!! What a guy!! Congrats on your stall being over!! I doubt I'll ever make it into a size 5. Even at my skinniest I was only a 7/8!! I think I'd be pretty happy with that again

Kerri: You'll get back down again. No worries!! Just keep working at it

Jina: Let's make a deal.....we'll BOTH stay OP during this week. We'll make another deal to figure out how to get through the weekend OP, right? And at least you only went off for 1 day. I've been bad.....well, TOO long!!!

Leenie: How's it going

TG: Congrats with staying OP!! Keep up the good work!! Sounds like Toad found himself a great new home!!! Glad they love him.

Lisa: Glad you're feeling better. Who knew something as simple as vitamins could make you sick, eh? Glad you got your rest--keep doing that

Well, so far so good. I've been OP. I've got the headache and tiredness to go with it Nope, not complaining because I brought it on myself. At least TOM is gone and I can get back on track and work at getting my butt BACK into this weight-loss mode. Figure IF I eat the cake so be it. I know between Friday (the fair) and Saturday (oldests party) and then in a couple weeks my birthday I probably won't be OP. But I need to be golden in between those dates!!! None of this "well, doesn't pay to watch what I eat because I'll just be pigging on those dates"!!! My realisation of the day
