she called me!!!! how's THAT for the gym hamster's energy????

she sounds tired, but excited. she still has the IV and the catheter, and two drains, but they're talking about sending her home soon. she's just starting to drink fluids, and things are going OK if a little painful.

there was a bout of severe spasms, apparently due to the extensive manipulation of her innards, but it eventually passed, and fortunately, hasn't returned <so far!>

her spirits are good, and her agenda for today includes taking a walk.

soooo good news from this front... now we just have to wait for monica...

I talked to her too, and I agree she sounded excited, even though she was hurting, she was very pleased with the outcome. The doc is saving the hernia repair to do when the plastic surgery to remove the extra skin is done!! (How's that for positive thinking!)
