Unhappy

It's not really tuesday here yet but I wanted to get a note off to you guys. I have just finally had a moment to get to the machine and wanted to say thank you to all you wonderful ladies that have some comforting and caring words for me. My mom had been in hospital for the last three weeks but was doing fine and we were going to bring her home to stay with us for the next three weeks or so but very surprisingly she passed over on Good Friday. My mother was a very religious person so I think she would have liked the day. She must have got a blood clot because it happened so fast and painlessly -total 10min . For that we are all very thankful. My sisters live in Oregon and will be coming up for the service . We are holding a 'celebration of her life' on friday and then they will all head home on the weekend. I probably won't get a chance to get to the board too much this week but I will try and at least check in and read how you are all doing. Most of my time is being spent at her house packing and cleaning up. It really is a horrendous job. We have a tendency to collect so much 'stuff' in our lifetime.
Please have a good week all of you and I will try to work on the challenge. What day does memorial day fall on? Take care all..........

PS. Welcome to our board Girlie...You'll love us. The ladies here are soooo nice and supportive.

Hi Donna,

I am glad that you are doing well. I can imagine that it is a very tough job packing everything. At least it will keep you busy throughout the week. I have been thinking of you and wondered how you were doing. At least your mom is at rest now and it was painless. We all wish for that. Doesn't make it any easier though I know. Keep your head held high and remember the good times you had. She will always be a part of your life. If you need me I am here for you. Just ask.

How is everyone else doing this week,

I haven't felt good. Having trouble breathing again. I am allergic to my house. We flooded a week before christmas and now my house is musty smelling. Until it dries up outside it won't go away. Our house is on a slab so that makes it hard. I am fine if I am out of the the house but being here plugs me up and I think I am on the verge of bronchitis again. Oh no. But I am not going to stray from my plan this time around. I have't been able to exercise much. I did some strength training yesterday because it doesn't get the heartrate up. But I did great all weekend. No candy or junk food so far. I also have been way under my points for the day for the past 2 days. Tonight I don't know how many pts I had. I had 2 cups of mac and cheese with ham. Homemade. But I used skim milk, ff american cheese and some reg. sharp cheese. So it was lower in calories then it normally would be. But I know it is okay because I have been way too low in points the past couple of days. I am looking forward to a loss again this week. I am making a pork roast tomorrow night so I will be low in pts again. I hope this pays off at the scale this week.

Have a great one everyone. Eleni thanks for the postcard. It sure looks a lot farther on the post card for where you walked. We weren't far from you when we went on our honeymoon in july last year. We stayed on treasure island for a week. That is just south of you. It is beautiful over there. We really liked it and want to go back. But this time we will take megan.LOL

Sherri

Hope everyone is having a lighter week.

Donna I know exactly how you feel. On Easter Sunday morning 6 years ago my mom passed away. It was very unexpected also. She lived with us so we truly felt the loss. At first you go through the motions of doing everthing that needs to be done, and when everything calms down it hits you that she is gone. But then you realize she is not gone, but lives within your heart. Soon when you remember her it will put a smile on your face and happy tears in your eyes. I am the person I am today because of my mom and not a day goes by that I don't thank God for her. So hang in there and surround yourself with people that care about you.
