Samantha-I followed something similiar to the low glycemic plan that my mom and I made up ourselves. We eat carbs like whole wheat, oatmeal and non starchy vegtables I buy the leaner meats and I use splenda. I also log my food into fitday most days to make sure I get enough calories in. I try to stay between 1200-1600 a day. When you cut the surgary/starchy foods out its not that hard to stay low calorie

And I NEVER skip breakfast it just throws my whole eating out of wack. I never used to eat it but now i make sure i eat every morning to get the day started right. I hope this helps you some because not every plan works for everyone.
