Default to ediet or not to ?

hey guys well I am going to be going at this diet pretty much ( intro on me -> http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38696 )

I was wondering from you pros, what is the best method of going about having some one plan a diet for me? like tell me what to eat for every meal I really don't care what i'm eating as long as I know it's going to be healthy and help me lose weight!

So I would like to know is ediets the best thing to do? I know they spend a lot of money on advertising this is the only reason I know of them. So I am open to any suggestions
thanks guys!

I don't think I'd like having someone tell me what I can eat that day. I never know what I'm hungry for that day so how can anyone else? And what if they would tell me to eat something that I knew I wouldn't like? Nope. I wouldn't do a plan like that.

I looked into the e-diet thing, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money to have someone else tell me what I already know!

I've heard lots of good stuff about ediets.

Just keep in mind that at some point, you have to do the work for yourself and learn this stuff. Otherwise it just becomes another temporary diet instead of a permanant change.

I was on the regular E-diets for about 9 months 3-4 years ago and lost a good 50 lbs but as soon as I started to have a life again- i.e. School, work, family and was not a stay at home mom anymore I gained about 30 of the 50 back because I was not able to cook every meal that they had planned for me. It is a very time consuming diet- cooking three double sets of meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner for me and breakfast, lunch and dinner for the other people in the house who wouldn't touch what they had me eating.... I will say the other worked- don't know about the Atkins side of it.. I just know it got expensive and time consuming.

What can I say? I agree with everyone who has posted before me. While E-diets might provide some great recipes etc.. it is essential that you learn what you are doing and do it for yourself. Ediets will not be able to tell you what foods cause you to stall, what foods give you a "laxative" effect nor what foods to eat while your at a resturant or an event where you can not control the menu. Give it a shot? I may be wrong and it might work wonderfully for you, however experiment on your own as well and learn exactly what is happening to your body and why.
