Unhappy TOM Question

I have normally gained water weight during TOM prior to Atkins but the last two months have been pretty light, didn't gain or lose anything during TOM, but this month the weight has come on like gang busters. I have in 2 days gained close to 5 pounds and well.... that is a lot. I have not been indulging in the sinful foods that I would normally crave and have been drinking more water than normal, isn't making since. Probably am jumping the gun but I have been having abnormal cycles anyway and well when you can have at least 2 a month I would hate to think this is going to continue or get worse- and will this come back off after the TOM is over? I swear I am not over eating and I can feel myself gaining weight back And it all seems to be in my belly....

Help!! any input would be appreciated.

I've read that you can gain up to five pounds during TOM. From my experience, I gain three to five pounds during that time, but it comes off very easily -- just as easily as it comes on. So, I try not to worry about it. It's still scary to see the scale go up that much so fast!

According to the Atkins email I received asking why my schedule was messed up--anytime you lose weight your body changes. I was hoping for LESS of TOM being around not more Add stomach cramps, bloating, weight gain, crankiness, etc to my monthly. I can only hope that after I'm at my goal weight my cycle gets normal.
Hang in there!!

My female problems are pre-Atkins and I am suppose to be on Birth Control Ring to help settle them out but that made me really less than human, like I was on Zoloft or something and absolutely no sex drive at alllllll...... I had gotten use to the multiple cycles a month and could not deal with the lack of emotion that the hormones produced.

Amy I wouldnt worry about your weight gain during TOM especially since you have not been endulging. I'm sure most of it is water weight and will vanish when TOM does.
I was also one with very irregular cycles... I could go 3 months with nothing and then one months there would be 3. The last couple of months it seems to have been pretty predictable.. I'm not sure if its due to my weight loss or this WOE. So I had to start a new birthcontrol and mess around with it some Guess we'll see what happens.
