Hello everyone! I am brand new to the SBD. I read the book yesterday (instead of studying for exams) oh well I feel like it was worth the read. So here I am today starting a new way of life. I have been a WW for about a year and a half but kept failing because I would eat way too many carbs and sugar (pretty sure my body does not deal well with sugar at all)
So I have a lot to learn, and I will be checking in from time to time. Any words of wisdom and guidance to get through my first two weeks.
Welcome! I'm pretty new to this too (Dec 2003) I've only lost 12 pounds, but since I started exercising (walking between 6 and 7 miles a week) I've really toned up.
You'll enjoy this group. They're a really great bunch of gals...oops! I meant 'chicks'!
Hey Waterlily. Welcome. This is a very supportive group, you'll find. If your body doesn't deal well with sugar, the feeling of well-being you'll experience could be motivation enough. Being able to sleep through the night now has been worth it to me. Jo
Welcome to South Beach, Waterlily. Check in daily, and you'll find the motivation to stick with this new way of eating. There are a lot of fun things going on here, and be sure to try the recipes!
Hi, I'm new also, and love this new way of eating. The good carb, and good fat etc., just makes sense to me. I still have a lot to learn, and the hardest part is reading the labels!
Hi! I just finished my first 5 days, and really appreciate this board for the company and support and wonderful recipe ideas. I haven't cooked so much in a long time, and I find it is fun and interesting, now that I know the chemistry of foods described by the Dr. in SBD book. It is also challenging, trying to come up with ideas to suit my taste.
