Default Wednesday Chat - February 25

Good morning! I guess I'm first onto The Beach today as Little Chick is probably resting up after her horrible evening with her DDs. I remember those days well.

I'm a tad ticked off as I am missing a lunch with the cast from TVM today but "it is a far, far better thing that I do" in going to Herhsey's job as usual. The clients are so disappointed when Hersh isn't there for the visits. After that I need to go to The Falls to pick up my new sunglasses. I've been there Saturday, Monday and now Wednesday and have NOT had Chinese food!

Yesterday afternoon was fun as Terry and I went through gardening books and planned our wildflower garden for the little park. We are both on the Communities in Bloom Committee and are the so-called flower experts. The Township had a bit of a tax windfall when a WalMart opened up in The Falls and we have money for a new gazebo and some park benches and several planters "down street", as we say. I got to know Terry a bit better too and we may start walking together once we figure out the best time for both of us. Her dog is a little sweetie who like big dogs so my Girls would be happy.

OK. Lent starts today and I'm giving up procrastination so.....off I go.

See you later after coffee, a shake and getting the dump stuff out to the road. Drat! We need more firewood brought in too!

Happy Hump Day!

Morning Chickies. You were right Ruthie I did not want to get out of bed this morning. My oldest dd is slighty remorseful this morning but only slightly. My youngest of course is being the sweetest little thing. God they change moods like socks. I don't have much to say this morning as I am in need of a tea fix then maybe my head will clear enough to have something whitty so say. Check in again later. As for lent I have not decided what to give up?????? I will have to think of something before the day gets to far along.

Morning Chicks! I've been up since 5AM; My little dog woke me up early so he could go outside; then he goes back to bed! I'm at work now; thought I'd check in. Have a luncheon today for our qtrly office bdays; the bday folks chose chinease. Any ideas of what I can eat? It's a buffet. I know I like the green beans and think they will be ok so anything else you can think of would be great!

Gonna have to get back to Phase I; I have been trying to add carbs and I feel like I'm not doing too well with that. Well better get to work Have a great day ladies!

Good morning, darlings.

Ruth, it would be great if you had a walking partner! Stay off the benches, though, huh?

Little Chick, I hope those little girls are better behaved today.

Nascar, good luck with your choices at the buffet!

Well, I've got to give up SOMETHING! Despite huge amounts of exercise over the past two days, I have gained four freaking pounds. I'm such an idiot.
Going to make coffee... back later...

Hi everyone.
Well, I have been down in the dumps. Weight loss seems to have slowed to a stall, and in spite of all my willingness to lose slowly last month, now I am bored and want it GONE! But I think I am not helping by interpreting the red wine 'allowed' to mean half a bottle allowed every night. I suppose I have to give that up for lent. So I am giving up having more than one glass of wine a night.

And I cheated on chocolate which was no where near any strawberries. But now its all gone so I am back on the straight and narrow.

The house is a total mess as I am alone here this week and I am not Mrs Housework at the best of times. I seem to be cleaning the whole time and nothing changes. Still messy. Dear Dear. I just cleaned out the cat litter tray. Yuk. Next I have to go and put the stuff away that I just washed up. It is never ending!

My new client did not turn up, so maybe he has decided not to come for therapy. But last night I had several anonymous calls on my business line between 9pm and 1.30am when I unplugged the phone. It could have been new client I suppose, but then again it could have been anyone. I feel a bit worried. But there is nothing I can do - I tried calling back but the person would not take a call from me. Oh well.

Off to work for the afternoon. Another client cancelled her 3pm (I am being gifted with lots of time off this week!), so that gives me a few hours to do some reading this afternoon.

love to all

Default Happy Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday Morning Beach Babes!
We're having a "heat wave" around here...gonna hit 37 today! Woohoooo!
I am so sick of winter I could scream!
But at least the week's half over...You KNOW how I love HUMP day (no pun intended Ellis!)
Got right back OP this week, and thanks to a nasty little tummy trouble in the middle of the night (ick!), have lost the nasty 1/2 pound I put on over the weekend! Who'd ever think one would be greatful for something like THAT!!! I must be losing it!
Clovey, it's nice to see you again! Cheer up & chat some more with us!
And...I think 1/2 bottle of wine is only 2 glasses! (2 BIG glasses, but 2 none the less! I NEVER have less than 2!)..hmmm..maybe that's an issue....
Little Chick, kids can be soooo frustrating! Mine are still small, but the attitudes are so BIG already. Kids grow up too fast now a days. I miss babies...it was so easy then & they ALWAYS liked you no matter what!
Ruth...I am sure the pooch will appreciate your sacrifice! Dogs always love us, even when the kids don't!
To everyone else: have a beautiful day!
I myself am trying to visualize myself in a cute bathing suit, laying on my deck chair on some beautiful beach, drinking a carb-free rum & diet coke, surrounded by beach hunks, waiting on me hand and foot...ahhhh..bliss!
Or maybe I should just get back to work!
Happy Wednesday, Girls!

Morning all! I'm so fed up with work I could scream. I've been looking into starting back up the business I use to own, as I really can't take it here much longer!! So busy today, but I wanted to stop in and say hello.

Haven't been OP all week. I'm so horrible. We haven't been to the grocery store and just can't get the good food in the house!! It's been a feeding frenzy. I am determined to make it to the store this evening and stock up...

Hope everyone has a fabu day! (At this point, I don't think it's possible for me.. grrrrr!)

Talking

Hi Ladies,
I have been trying to keep up with everyone. But It is only 9am and there is 7 posts!!!! I guess I am just really behind this morning.

I am trying to read everyone's post so hopefully I will start learning who is who.

I am doing great on plan but now that lent is here I feel a bit challenged. No white carbs and no meats on Fridays...... GEESSSSHHHH!

I am also breastfeeding so I always make sure I get in all the stuff I am suppose to.

Have a great ON PLAN day,
Penny

Hey Jan you are right on with the big attitudes. I do also miss the days when they were small. It is silly when you think that we can't wait til they grow up and start talking then when they do we want them small again.

Hi Mompen, great avatar! Reminds me of the belly dancing some of these sexy beach babes are doing.....

OK Jan, two large glasses of wine.....that has been my excuse too. Actually I have given myself wriggle room on this as I have not specified what SIZE glass my one will be, and I have already thought of pouring it in to several smaller ones.....(do we have a problem...???? My friends say I am in denial but that is a total lie).

Exclamation Fyi

Got this today from SBD's Daily Dish newsletter. Thought you might be interested.

New Rules About Yogurt

Ever wonder why you can't find sugar-free yogurt at the grocery store? That's because it doesn't exist. Yogurt contains a natural, low-glycemic sugar called lactose. But if yogurt contains sugar, when is it OK to eat yogurt on The South Beach Diet™?

Thanks to recent research pertaining to calcium's role in weight loss, Dr. Agatston has updated the diet to include yogurt in every phase. Not all yogurts are created equal, so follow these Phase-by-Phase guidelines for yogurt consumption:

During Phase 1, limit yourself to fat-free plain yogurt. Avoid any sweetened yogurts, even those with artificial sweeteners, but feel free to flavor your yogurt as you would a ricotta crème.

During Phases 2 and 3, you may also introduce artificially sweetened, nonfat flavored yogurt. To identify yogurt that's been artificially sweetened, look for the words "light" or "lite" on the label. Limit to 4 ounces daily.

Plus: Ask Dr. Agatston your South Beach Diet questions at a special online chat! Join him on February 26th from 7:30 to 8:30 PM EST. Look for the chat link at the top of the South Beach Diet home page starting on Thursday.

Afternoon all.

I am having the laziest day ever. The judge I work for is on vacation, so my co-worker and I went to the 9 a.m. kickboxing class at the gym, and did a little grocery shopping afterwards. I got into work at 11:15, and went to lunch at 12. I wore flip flops today as a way of saying bite me to this winter weather.

Anyway. I'm having a great day, so now I'm gonna pay some bills, and maybe work. Maaaybe.

I hope everyone is OP and happy today.
