Default Friday!!!!!! chatting

Morning ladies (and any gents lurking out there)

Well, it is Friday at last can you believe it?? What joy. And the cat has had his tooth out now and is recovering rather too slowly. I will have to go and fuss over him.

Everything here is going well otherwise. I had the cauliflower mash last night and it was very nice, with some lean steak. I am going to have a go at making turkey burgers tonight (assuming I can be bothered).

Off to get my coffee, in true SB style.

xx

Good morning and TGIF!

I'm up and dressed and ready to tackle the day. I have been loafing around in my robe with the doggage for an hour or more every morning this winter but now's the time to switch routines. Nothing drags me down more than robe and slippers after more than an hour! Maybe I'm in Spring mode. On the other hand, it may be from having my hair cut yesterday and my feet all massaged by Nurse Darlene.

Finally I made a good choice yesterday in town! I was seriously considering a burger and fries lunch but went for groceries instead and got a 8 pack of veggie sushi and ate 4! Yes, I know rice is not SBD but it was certainly a better choice. I rewarded my self by buying tulips for my Valentines Day flowers - red and orange like a summer sunset. I'm having a hard time getting back on track with SBD.

There's a huge prehistoric orange animal in the lane next door - it's sort of a steam shovel with a hook on one end and a shovel thing on the other. Steve has finally decided to fix his dead water system and they are digging up the well. Now get this - I bought that house in the late 80's and put in a brand new well in the 1990's. So....they call in Ralph who bought it 39 years ago and asked him where to dig for the well. Ahem! I went out and explained where the new well was but.....four hours and $$$$ later they found the old well which was not connected to anything. They poked and probed and found my well finally. Men!!!!!!! I'm trying hard not to feel too superior and will refrain from comment when they get back to digging today. I may even offer them coffee and muffins later in the morning and try to smile rather than smirk.

Doggage are hollering at those terrorists who seem to be back so I'm off for coffee and will check in later.

Oh, Ruth. Men, indeed. That story is so familiar. Some of them have their good points, but they're all definitely lacking.
Good choices yesterday!! I'm having a hard time getting back on track, too. What we really need is a spade in our hands and some (unfrozen) earth to dig into. A bunch of flats to plant. A warm breeze. An Adirondack chair. Or a hammock. Perhaps a low-carb beer?
God, it's snowing.

Clovey, I hope your dear cat is better soon.
I forgot about that cauliflower mash! Maybe I'll make some tonight... it's pretty good.

Sil, I ALWAYS behave myself. How are you doing, girl? Are you still painting?

Hi Motts, Danielle, Den, Lizzi, Bamie, Emily, Dyna, January, Little Chick, Jennie, Pebbles, Franny, Chaz, Lisa, and I know I've forgotten some really important people... please check in.
Sflake! Where the heck is Sflake!?!?

Have to get my little DS off to school. Back later...

"Ya gotta have heart! Simply miles and miles of heart."
Now who the heck sang that? It'll be stuck in my head all day!

Oh I love Fridays! Any other morning and I dread getting up but not on Fridays

Went to Wal-mart and got hubby his Valentine's Day present. Just a nice card and teddy bear. BUT you will not believe what the card says. I usually pick the first card I see and it seems right; guess I didn't exactly read this one good though. IT says Happy First Valentine's Day! Gee we've been married 5 years...I wonder why this is our first Valentine's Day Oh yeah leave it to me....but I'll give him the card anyway...he'll get a kick out it...I'll be 35 next month and I'm sure he'll tease me forever about the card

Hope everybody has a lovely day!

Default Ahhhh ....TGIF!!!!

Good Morning Sexy Chicks!
I am sooooo happy it's Friday. Work has been hellish this week, the kids have been absolutely crazy (the whole build-up to the Valentine's parties at school today I'm sure!)...and I'm TIRED! And...the freakin' scale is still stuck at 150! #$@*!!!! I am still NOT dicouraged..I am going by the way I feel in my clothes...but it would be nice to see 149 someday soon!
I did rent a tae bo video which I am going to attempt this evening...maybe a little exercise will get the scale moving...I have been sooooo faithful to the WOE...really have not even introduced many carbs at all...some high fiber cereal & berries for bfast a couple times a week...but no other carbs at all (well other than veggies...but good ones). I do tend to choose red meat for dinner a lot....lean...but maybe that's doing it. Who knows..I shall keep the faith & plug along! Last night went to my DD's spaghetti supper at school (oh my...)...but I had 4 TINY meatballs & a bunch of salad & water. It was hard, but I did it....when they brought out the famous canoli cake I nearly fainted, but I passed it up! Yay!
Hey, has anyone subscribed to the LowCarb magazine I see advertised on this screen? It looks kind of interesting...I am debating...$19.90-something for a bi-monthly mag....
Well girls, better hit the books here...bill paying day at the office (ugghhhh), so there'll be lots of pissing & moaning from the office next door!
Have a wonderful weekend & sexy, romantic Valentine's Day!
Love,
Jan
XOXO

My first chat thread! Hi everyone! Hope your Friday is going better than mine! I caught a cold last night. Within 5 minutes, I went from happy and working on my book to sneezing and stuffy. How does that happen? AND! to boot, I have an interview this afternoon with a haughty taughty wine company. I don't want to have to walk in there snotting left and right!

At least I'm on program and still not smoking. There was NOTHING in the fridge for lunch today. NO-THING! I packed a salad and some organic chicken broth. It probably will be the best thing since I'm sickly! Hope everyone's day is just lovely!!

Ruth~~I'm not sure who sang it but isn't it from the musical "Damn Yankees"?
When will men listen to us women??? Go figure!

I'm hanging in there. This week has been the most difficult for me. My mom had lots of beautiful clothes (very stylish for a 74 yr old ) and since I am the only one in the family that can fit into some of them, we sent a few boxes of them to my home. Yesterday was the first time that i felt like unpacking them. Lots of memories and emotions~but that's a good thing. Went out to dinner last night and wore her black sweater with the animal print collar. I felt alittle closer to her . Thanks for letting me ramble

Hair appt and errands for today. catch ya'll later

It may be real but I'd say no! What is the name? What we post here is supposed to be private and owned by the site!
