So, it's been a while since I've posted on here. Was on vacation in Florida visiting my sister last weekend, and just never really got back into life this week...I hate coming back from vacation!
So anyway. While in Florida, my sister and I went shopping. I love her mall. They have a Burdines' which I'd never been in before. It's a great little department store. So while I'm there, I see some super cute shirts on sale, and decide to try them on...out of the Misses department. And they fit! So that was fun.
I'm not having very good luck grasping the idea that I can actually find clothes in the misses department, tops for sure, and once in a while, pants. It's a whole new world.
So the shopping expedition gets better...like
good. While Katie was shopping in Victoria's Secret, I ran into Ann Taylor, just to look. I've been in before and seen really cute dresses on sale for $39. So I was planning to pick up a dress for motivation. So as I'm looking at this adorable dress, the sales lady asked if I wanted to try it on. I told her that I was thinking about buying but was positive it wouldn't fit...it's only a 16...not a 16W (which I also would not have dreamed of trying on at this point).
She looks at me, kinda funny, and said, why don't you just go try it on. And ohmigoodness, it fits!!!!!!!!!!! I love it. I want to wear it everyday, except it's silk, so it has to be dry cleaned, as does the sweater I had to buy to go over it, since it's a sleeveless dress, and it's getting chilly here in NE.
And one last happy thing from the trip...I wasn't encroching (sp?) on anyone's space on the airplanes.
It's been slow going, but these things are definately motivation to keep it moving. Today I went out for a 5mile walk. It was a beautiful day.
Sorry to ramble. I'm off to watch the Newlyweds Marathon on MTV...it cracks me up!
